Essential Free walking tours of Lima

Paul was a very passionate guide, telling us a lot about Lima. The tour was very insightful and he even surprised us with a fresh fruit snack from a local vendor at the right time! He also took time to give us recos for more things to do/see/eat. highly recommend this tour on your first day in Lima.

If we did not take the tour, we would have probably never seen this part of the city. So we are pleased to be able to visit it, because some parts are spectacular. Also, we were 15 min late and the guide waited, so we were very thankful. After, we were rather rushing through the place, seeing but not really learning anything significant about Lima, Peru, history etc. We went to the pisco and chocolate tasting which is great but it was evident we were expected to buy something. All in all, I wish we learned something more and were under less pressure to move forward and/or buy something.

Paul ended up with a tour of just two solo travelers who didn’t know each other. He did a great job mixing cultural facts in with helpful history and context of the city. It was amazing to see him move between sites explaining things or giving context that wouldn’t otherwise be expected. I’d highly recommend this tour.

He gave us a lot of information about all the places that we visited, and was very patient with us when folks from the group wandered away or were doing their own thing from time to time. He really puts in the effort to make the walk informative and engaging. The histórico centro is beautiful and Paul does full justice to the neighbourhood. I definitely recommend this walking tour.

Paul was great. We had essentially a private tour. We got to see a number of places the weren’t part of the normal highlights, but that made it super special and unique. Great tour

The tour was fast paced and informative. Augusto did a great job sharing historical knowledge and information and he clearly knew the city well. We had a chance to try some piscos and do some shopping towards the end. The guide was also helpful in pointing out restaurant recommendations for after our tour.

I 100% recommend taking his tours as it was engaging, clear (his English is really good) and I overall learned a wide variety about Peruvian culture!
