Led by our professional guide, Gabi, a congenial group of six set off to explore the Mexico City Metro and the amazing Cablebús. The Cablebús took us high over Iztapalapa, a vibrant working-class neighborhood. It is a true technological marvel and a vital piece of public transit rather than a mere tourist attraction—it is truly wonderful to experience. Gabi is bright, knowledgeable, and thoroughly professional. She speaks perfect, idiomatic English, and her genuine love for her home city shines through every story she tells. We even ended the journey by visiting a local market before heading back. This was one of the most fascinating tours I’ve taken in Mexico City. While it’s not for those with a fear of heights or an aversion to urban mass transit, it is the absolute best way to get a unique, authentic view of the city. I can't recommend it enough!

We loved this tour! Our guide Gabriel was amazing, very knowledgeable and always had good stories to add. The cable car was such a nice way to see Mexico City from above. We loved the snack and fruit water we purchased along the way too. He also showed us how to easy it is to use the metro, everything was great! 😊

Definitely worth doing this cable ride tour as it takes you to a part of the city that is away from the tourist trail, gives you an overview of the vastness of the city and an insight into how the this mode of transport has had an impact on the daily lives of people. Gabriel, our tour guide was informative, kept us engaged throughout and the 3 hours just flew by. An interesting way of exploring a city.

Was very pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed this tour. Thomas was such a great tour guide. His humour and super friendly nature meant that he created a great environment for 5 strangers to be friends for 4 hours. The detail in information given was amazing and he added personal stories of his childhood which added an extra perspective. There were so many little added touches from Tomas and it was great to be given a history of the area from someone local and who clearly loves showing off his home city! Would recommend highly and he said he also does the Taco tour of the city too! Thank you Tomas xx

Benjamin was a great guide. He was professional and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of history of the city. This tour is great as it gives you a very different perspective of the city and you get to visit an area that you likely wouldn't go to on your own. Highly recommended.

A very full tour. Gabriel was attentive in making sure we got to each of our transportation connections with the subway and then cable car. While in transit to our destination, he kept us informed about what we were about to see. There was plenty of fascinating information regarding the background of the cable car ride as well as the history of the Iztapalapa area. This information was delivered in an energetic, friendly manner. He also offered a mix of stories about related points that were both fascinating and humourous. All of the attendees on this tour were seniors and I believe we were all satisfied with the experience. However, I think it's the kind of tour that would appeal to a younger audience as well.

Great Way to see parts of Mexico city that you otherwise wouldn’t see. Oscar deserves an “Oscar”, he was brilliant and had such knowledge. I certainly recommend a tour with him.

A very different and great tour

This walking tour was both incredibly informative and genuinely fun. It was rich with historical context that brought the area to life, and the stories were engaging without ever feeling overwhelming. Our guide Oscar, truly made the experience—He was knowledgeable, patient, very accommodating, making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Questions were welcomed, the pace was just right, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking an authentic learning experience while having a great time.
