Best and most informative free walking tour I’ve ever taken! Sandy really gave me an insight on how the city works and why it works like that, really seems to know everything and answered all questions: History, fun facts, current events, bar recommendations and even linguistics. Really a 10/10 experience!

Sandy led us on a rich cultural and historical tour of New Orleans we hadn't seen before. She helped us see how the Marigny area was developed by Free People of color, who shared a love of community and music along Frenchmen Street. It was Christmas Day, and many of the venues were closed for the holiday, but she describes a bustling scene full of authentic blues we will want to enjoy on our next trip to New Orleans.

THE REAL HEARTBEAT OF NEW ORLEAN: LA MAGNIFIQUE If the french quarter is the official portrait if the city, Frenchmen street/ Marigny district is more local ans authentic. Sandy is the guide for this type of expérience (more than a traditional tour)..a real local and well informed, Il strongly recommend...we saw real little music bars, good foods spots, typical housing and architecture and the feeling of the real communities!

It was our 2nd tour with Sandy (we had done the French Quarter tour earlier in the week) and we were as pleased with this tour as with the other one. She provided very interesting facts and stories about the history of New Orleans and specifically to this neighborhood Faubourg Marigny. It was very instructive and entertaining as well. I highly recommend any tour with Sandy.
