Awesome tour. Dalen’s knowledge was exceptional, and we love the way he waved in some of his personal recollections and experiences.

A wonderful and engaging walk! It’s a great way to get to know Pula’s history, main landmarks and hidden gems in a short amount of time. What makes it special is that it doesn’t feel like just a typical tourist tour, but a chance to peek behind the scenes and discover the everyday life of a city and it’s people. Saša is a fantastic guy. Within just a few minutes of talking to him, you feel like you’ve made a friend in Pula. He also gives excellent recommendations on what to visit and where to eat, tailored to your interests, so you can make the most of your time in the city.

I had a great time with Maja. She told a lot about the history of the city and focused on more recent history. She also shared her personal experiences about what it is like for her and her family to live in the city and Croatia in general, which I found interesting to hear. At the end she gave us tips for other things to do and where to eat.

Our guide grew up in Pula, and it showed. Instead of reciting dates, he shared stories from his own childhood. He was very knowledgeable about the history of pula and the region. Highly recommended.

It was a great pleasure to discover the beauty and historical diversity of Pula. Pula is a great city with an astonishing history: roman, venetian, austrian, italian, german and - after these historical periods - the disintegration of the former Jugoslavia. All these periods had left their visivle traces. Nice Roman monuments: the great (well preserved) amfitheater (Arena), the ancient gates, a beautiful mosaic floor, and the temple of Augustus, to mention a few. It is a beautiful city, it was highly informative and I can recommend this tour fullheartedly. Dalen is very knowledgeable, entertaining and his English is near-fluent.

What a great tour with Sasa! Always a pleasure to be guided into the past by someone who not only knows all the content for the tour, but who also knows all the details and connections to the rest of the story 🙂 As someone who asks a lot of questions, it was terrific to have Sasa to answer…and to be patient! Many thanks!!
