The tour was excellent! Sasa is well knowledge about the town and Croatia as well, had prints to support him, answered our side questions, gave us a list of recommendations and also provided us shades in a hot day! Did I mentioned it was also entertainment? He covered the old town and more.

People, here me out. Saša is the real deal. I do a Guru Walk tour in pretty much every city I visit, and out of the 5 tours I did on this holiday, Saša's tops the cake. Not only does he speak with appropriate speed and dynamism, his work as a professor shone through with his laminated pictures that he shared with us through the tour, which only added to the whole experience. He is a fantastic storyteller, and he really made you feel like you were stepping back in time. His tour was incredibly thorough, everything from history to myths of the city, to the culture of the Croatian people, to the lifestyle practices including food and drink, to even restaurant recommendations. He even has his own website, which only shows me that he really is passionate in this artform. By the end of the tour, I not only had a clear understanding of the history of Croatian people, but of the Roman civilization, of the many layers of history this beautiful country had to endure, and of course, where to get my next lunch at the end of the tour (which as at the market for seafood at Furia, btw, it was freaking fantastic!!! The best bang for buck meal we have had in Croatia so far.) Thank you, Saša, for leaving us feeling inspired. Please, don't miss out on his knowledge and passion! Dalen was fantastic, and I highly recommend this tour. He is very knowledgeable (which I would expect as he is a history teacher), and his passion as a local really shines through. I especially enjoyed the inclusion of local legends/myths, super interesting! The route is perfectly planned out, with sitting breaks and somewhere to fill up water bottles. Dalen has a great sense of humour and his tour is delivered with jokes included. I will be recommending this tour to everyone I know!

Pula is not a big town but this tour was very useful to know the most important about it. About Pula, it is amazing how I could visit the fortress with a great panoramic view on a Sunday without crowds of tourists and only for 7€! The amphitheater is also not expensive at all, only 10€. About the tour: Daleen (hope I am not butchering the guide's name!) is an history teacher so I guess he is used to convey information because his explanations were clear and concise and he was also open to answer questions. Along the tour we stopped in places with shade and could sit in a few while hearing the explanations which I always appreciate. In the end, Daleen gave us suggestions of places to visit in Istria and restaurants to try in Pula.

Sasa did a great job to show the city and explain us about history en current life in Pula and Croatia. The kids loved the tour as well.

Dalen was great. I was under some pressure as my husband had not been on a walking tour before, and I didn’t want to lose him after the first one! However after 2 hours of facts, stories and side conversations ranging from the Croatian War to Austrian architecture, he was already asking when we’ll be doing our next one! Would highly recommend.
