Paola is very enthusiastic in sharing her story about Shkodër and Albania in general. We really enjoyed to get to know the city by a local who has a lot of love for her hometown- and country. Learned a lot about the history of Shkodër and Albania, the local culture and customs, and got a lot of good tips for, coffee, diner and ice screams. We learned a lot about Shkodra’s and Albania’s long and eventful history, as well as notable people from Shkodra who influenced politics, religion and life in the city and beyond. Paola is happy to answer any questions, has amazing recommendations for other places to visit or eat at, and you can tell that she has done a lot of research on the city and its culture. One of the best tours we’ve ever been on.

I always do free walking tours in a new city and think it is a great way to learn about it. This tour did not disappoint. It was around 2 hours with an energetic and knowledable guide. Really enjoyed it. Must do when you are town.

I often take walking tours like this. Today was different. As we wandered through time and space, Sidita brought the alleys, the ledges, and the ruins to life, casually revealing the stubborn and proud spirit of a nation just emerging from centuries of oppression. This walk is an essential introduction to the charming city of Shkodra—and, in my humble opinion, to all of Albania. And go eat at Fisi after that ;)

I was very impressed by Kiri’s explanation of Albanian and Shkoder’s history with pictures she had as we walked around. It was an enjoyable walk around at a steady pace. I was surprised at the end by the free gift too. It was very kind of her. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Kiri.
