Free walking tours in Shkodër

Paola is a great tour guide who knows the city very well. She gave me a lot of information and the history of Shkodër and answered every question. I really enjoyed the tour and can definitely recommend it.

I did a fantastic walking tour today with Sidita (I hope I remembered correctly). She was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her country & people. She delivers it in a style that is humorous, but also serious & considerate when required. She also shared with us a personal story that gave me insight into what local life was/is like, so it was the perfect blend. I've participated in many walking tours in a few countries, & for me, this was definitely one of the best ones I've done.

I was just the 2 of us, as the morning tour seems not very attractive from a timing poit of view. The guide did a lovely tour and answered all of our additional questions.

Paola has been great! You can tell how passionate she is about her hometown. She took us through Shkoder’s history highlights, architecture and traditions. She also gave us plenty of recommendations which we are very grateful for.

It was a great tour through the center of Shkodra with a lots of interesting facts and information. We would definitely recommend it!

There are not a great many outdoor monuments as such to see but our guide (I wish GW would give us the name of the actual guide because it's hard to remember name without seeing it spelled) pointed out all the important ones , and the museums, etc., we should not miss. She was excellent on the history and the esp the communist era and the post-soviet era to the present. Loved that part because foreigners don't know a lot about Albania.

We got many information about history, politics and religion. Our guide was a true professional.

While "Kiri" and I met at the rendezvous point, the other pair were a no-show. Sidita and I continued to chat sitting on a bench in the shade for half an hour, with me getting additional information and recommendations for seeing Shkodër.

Sidita was the most passionate guide I ever came across. We lived and experienced the life in Shkoder theough her words. We could feel the somber times of dictartorship, the rising up of a new city and the pride of being part of a new era. Really great. Congratulations!

ive been on a complete Balkans road trip. when I 1st pulled into town today, I almost left and headed for the sea. after doing Kiris tour, I am so glad I did not make that mistake in judging a book by it's cover taking the tour and exploring
