Carlos was a great guide. I highly recommend a tour with him because he studied history while at university so he is very knowledgeable. He gave an abundance of information which I appreciated.

Really solid and genuinely interesting tour. In 1h45 you cover the essential highlights of Toledo, but it’s not just a checklist of monuments. The stories add real depth, and you leave with a clear, overall understanding of the city, its layout, and the key historical context. Our guide was excellent: very knowledgeable, perfectly comfortable with the script, and able to answer questions in a smart, thoughtful way. It didn’t feel like simple recitation, he clearly understands the material and can adapt when people ask for more detail. Two things seriously need improvement though. First, the group size was way too big. They cancelled an earlier tour saying we were the only ones booked, and then one hour later we ended up in a group of around thirty people. That inevitably reduces the quality of the experience and the interaction with the guide. Second, the audio system is unpleasant: the earpiece is unreliable and uncomfortable. I would much rather have the guide wear a small neck speaker so you can hear directly without having to use an earpiece. Despite these issues, the content and the guide’s quality make it worth doing. With smaller groups and a better audio setup, it would be a flawless experience.

It was informative, but I've never walked so slowly during a walking tour ever... But other than that the city is really beautiful and I'm sure we've seen everything important.

Marian was an excellent guide. She spoke in clear English with broad knowledge and deep enthusiasm for the history of the sites. She was a good humoured and entertaining speakerz and gave us lots of tips for what to do after the tour ended, depending on our time window and interests. The ear piece gadgets we used to help with heating were wonderful and much better than the loud speakers being used by other tour guides. It was a cold day but Marian kept us moving at a decent pace with lots of little stops, pausing longer in the sunshine! If I come back to Toledo I will certainly try to book another tour with Marian! - Rebecca

Great overview of the walled city center . Went over the history of the 3 cultures and made Suggestions for our future touring days .

Marian was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We learnt a lot of history about Toledo. We followed all of her advise after the tour of the city - spending over an hour in the Cathedral Primada de Toledo and climbed the tower of the church Iglesia de los Jesuitas for 360 degree views of the city! We also had dinner at the restaurant recommended by Marian and enjoyed the Carcamusas Con Patatas. Thank you Marian for all your help and the knowledge you shared.

Marian was all heart and enthusiasm, the kind of guide who clearly loves her city and wants everyone else to feel the same. She filled the tour with plenty of historical facts, fun tidbits, and stories from Toledo’s long, tangled past.. from swords to saints and everything in between. While the tour wasn’t quite as thrilling as I had imagined (maybe Toledo keeps some secrets to itself), Marian’s energy and effort made it worthwhile. She kept things moving, smiled through the winding streets, and did her best to make history come alive under the Spanish sun. A genuine, informative experience with a passionate local touch. Would join again just to see what new tales she uncovers next. Would you like me to sprinkle in one or two quirky Toledo facts (like its three-culture heritage or sword-making fame) to match your usual GR tone?

Tour was a great way to see the different areas of Toledo that we would never find on our own. Also learned more about Toledos history.
