Licensed Tour Guide... I grow up in London, but moved to Gibraltar when I was 20 (that was many moons ago). I choose to live in Gibraltar, as in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. I am a licensed tour guide who loves nature, history, hiking and coffee. I would love to share my love for Gibraltar and my passion for exploring with anyone who is looking to try something new.

About the tour

We will start our hike in the town center, but will soon find ourselves away from the hustle as we walk among the old buildings and narrow roads. We will then take the path up into the Nature Reserve where you will be among some of the old military battery's and meet some of the locals (Barbary Macaques). We will continue our walk south and take in some of the great views over the bay. Leaving the main path and taking an old military track, we will hike east up to the summit of the Rock with stunning views of the North African cost and Mediterranean sea, taking in caves and old WW2 buildings along with the wild life and flora. From the summit at 426m we will make our way along the top of the rock... Before making our way down the rock via ex MOD grounds and back into town.

Depending on your available time, fitness, and ability level, there are couple of routes to choose from and include beautiful scenic views of Gibraltar, The Bay, North African Coast and the Mediterranean. Many of the paths we will be taking are old MOD routes used in WW2. If one knows what to look for, there are many hidden doorway into the WW2 tunnels that honeycomb the rock. Stories of discovery, history and life's challenges.

Moderate fitness is required and a reasonable head for heights

Tony was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and he geared the tour towards our historical interests. He set expectations in the beginning to ensure we were both comfortable with the amount of walking (and the inclines), which I thought was very important, particularly when hiking ‘The Rock.’ Highly recommend Tony as a guide.

Tony is a great guide. Not only is he super knowledgable about Gibraltar, he is also a friendly guy and very easy to get along with. We booked our tour last minute and he was very flexible with accommodating us.

The tour itself is amazing. It’s a bit of hard work but the views you will see are fantastic. Plus it’s great to have someone with you who knows the way as there are a few points where you might end up going in the wrong direction.

I 100% recommend Tony.
