Hello everyone! I am Carlos. I have lived in Sheffield for 15 years and I worked (and lived!) in Central America, the Caribbean and all around Europe for 10 years before. I love the the quirks and eccentricities that only travelling our wonderful world and meeting its beautiful people can give. I also like finding the spots that maybe not even the locals know too! I am an avid fan of street art and around 7 years ago I started to capture photos of the outstanding street and graffiti artists all around The Steel City. The fleeting nature of this kind of art is what I really enjoy. What else? Let’s have a think... I am a Dad to my son and daughter and I am lucky enough to be married to the best wife, ever! I have a Yorkshire terrier called Ernesto and I love taking him for walks in green places. I love to cook all kinds of food and don’t mind being experimental in the kitchen. Ha! I love Greece and have spent around 5 years in that fascinating country. I also speak some street Greek that I’ve picked up along the way. Mostly I love meeting new people from all over the world and getting to know them. All the time realising that we have more in common than we all know. Cheers! Carl✌ ❤️
Sheffield is a hotbed for all kinds of street art with a number of very prolific highly creative local artists. Some walls are big with really big murals and some tiny tags, and truly unique sticker art. I have been trying to find all these hidden masterpieces for about 10 years and some of those buildings are no longer even around. I know most of the walls but they are constantly changing and so the route once we meet is not set. Instead we will take in what is around at the time. We’ll meet up at one that will definitely be there though; the Vultures is a brick artwork that has been around since 1980, so it is a perfect place to meet and start exploring the city. We will always find something new! On the route we can always find an excellent local and independent coffee place or a traditional pub if that’s the vote. The tour will be around 1½ hours long and will be dependent upon our glorious weather! Ha! Thanks for looking and I look forward to meet you in the amazing city of Sheffield really soon.
