The Rome of the Non Romans
Tour description
Do you want to know the legend of the fountain that was built in one night?, The place where Julio Cesar was killed?, A fire station in ancient Rome?, The ship-shaped island?, The history of the Jewish Ghetto and its subsequent takeover by the Nazis?
We will take you to discover a different Rome, the one inhabited by immigrants. To do this, we will walk through streets and alleys, traveling through time in two emblematic neighborhoods full of culture and history, The Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere, not forgetting the Tiberina Island.
We will walk in El Ghetto and its great Synagogue, today a place of lively terraces, cultural institutions and placid streets and squares, but with a past of isolation between walls for more than three centuries.
We will pass by the island with the form of a boat, which contains the legend of the temple of Aesculapius, crossing the oldest bridges in the city, and connecting both sides of the river.
We will walk through the cobbled streets of Trastevere, one of the most popular areas of Rome, and we will appreciate the remains of art that hide its constructions, as well as the Basilica Santa María de Trastevere.
If you want to live an authentic experience of extraordinary legends and curiosities, do not miss our tour "The Rome of the Non-Romans"!
