Hi! I'm Genevieve! Fun-loving, coffee-chugging, wine-drinking, urban socialite, writer and entrepreneur. 4th generation St. Johns, 5th generation Portlander.
Photo opps! Pose in front of the Gothic Cathedral towers of the historic 1931 St. Johns Bridge, the most photographed bridge in Oregon! #StJohnsPDX Who doesn't love a good Origin Story? We'll meet on the steps of the McMenamin's St. Johns Pub, the last existing building of the 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition. Be sure to come early enough to check out the historic photos on the walls inside! We will also visit and learn the stories behind: - Carnegie St. Johns Library, 1913 - James John School, 1929, named for the founder of St. Johns - "Downtown St. Johns" - The oldest building in St. Johns, 1895 - St. Johns City Hall, 1907 - St. Johns Twin Theater, 1913 We will end at Revolution Bookshop where you can pick up some sweet St. Johns Swag and book your next St. Johns Tour!
Look for the "St. Johns FREE Tour" sign on the outside steps of the dome of McMenamin's St. Johns Pub, on the corner of N. Richmond and N. Ivanhoe.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
