About the Tour

On this tour, you will: Understand why this neighborhood is called "The Latin Quarter", learn more about the beginnings of the Sorbonne University, discover remarkable monuments, Roman ruins, Gothic churches, and the love story of the 12th famous like that of Romeo and Juliet.
You will experience the colorful atmosphere of a historic street market, see where Hemingway and Diderot lived ( just steps from Square S. Médard ), the best of medieval Paris, narrow cobblestone streets, secretly hidden gems, and places to explore with Dan. Brown's da Vinci Code, the "Priory of Sion" and the Merovingian dynasty are connected by following the path of a lost river.
You follow the "Lost River" in the heart of Paris, which at the beginning of the 20th century could still be seen in the city, into which the Seine flowed and was later converted into a market street with cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops with French cheese specialties.

Ramona, or Parisina, our guide for Latin Quarter, was absolutely fabulous. She was an outstanding guide, very kind, funny and extremely knowledgeable about this area. She knew so much history about the sites we stopped and was able to relay that information in a very engaging way. She provided so many important historical facts while giving us an opportunity to taste a little bit of history. If you are in Paris, you must give Ramona a chance to introduce you to this incredible city and of course Latin Quarter. I can ensure you won’t be disappointed! It was one of the best tours we have ever attended. We are forever grateful!

Parisina was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. We took the Latin Quarter tour. She knew a surprising amount about everything. If the tour time or tour content doesn't work exactly for you, reach out to her, she made it clear that she could and would customize.
