The Essence of Istanbul: A Free Tour of Constantinople in Spanish. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Tour description
HOŞGELDİNİZ !
Welcome to the most recommended tour of Istanbul !
I'm Nadir, an official tour guide in Istanbul. I studied at the University of Cappadocia and specialized in Spanish as a tour guide. I spent several years in Spain and know almost the entire country except for the archipelagos. I'm a very energetic person with a caring, kind, and, above all, enthusiastic about my job, this city, and its history and culture. I'd like to introduce you to...
The Essence of Istanbul Tour!
Istanbul is architecturally one of the most interesting cities in the world . Its inhabitants live within walls built by Byzantine emperors and worship in Ottoman-era mosques. A melting pot of cultures where Muslims, Christians, and Jews lived in harmony, with its seven hills surrounded by sea, Istanbul has much to offer visitors. We will discover its soul, its essence, the ancient Constantinople, and we will also meet its people, diverse and tolerant, kind and generous.
On this tour, you'll also receive tips and recommendations to help you make the most of your stay: transportation, food, shopping—everything you need to make your time in this unique city unforgettable.
What will we see during the tour?
OUTDOOR VISITS. We do not enter the following places:
- Blue Mosque-Sultanahmet Mosque and Sultanahmet Square
- Turkish bath-Hamam (Hurrem sultan)
- Hagia Sophia
- Wooden houses (old Ottoman houses)
- Topkapi Palace
- Koran School-Madrassa
- Basilica Cistern
- German Source
- Hippodrome (Obelisk, Snake)
- Constantine Square
- Turkish Bath Hamam
- Nurosmaniye Mosque
- Grand Bazaar and Beyazit Square and Mosque.
The guide reserves the right to make minor modifications to the tour if deemed necessary due to special events, closures at the sites visited, or weather conditions. Mosques are closed on Friday mornings, the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, and Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays.
Tip : This tour is not affected by the fact that it's completely outdoor, and we don't enter any of the sites covered. However, in general, for your stay, I recommend wearing appropriate clothing or bringing sarongs or scarves. Some religious sites, such as mosques, require appropriate clothing, including knee coverage for men and women, and head and shoulder coverage for women. Scarves are available in some locations.
Don't forget to wear appropriate footwear for the uneven streets of the historic center, and consider the city's geography, which, between waters, generates abrupt changes in weather and temperature.
ATTENTION CRUISE PASSENGERS 🛳️🛳️🛳️You are welcome! This tour starts promptly at 10:30 AM in Sultanahmet Square. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours between the announced cruise ship docking time and the start of the tour. The disembarkation process in Istanbul and the distance between the port and the tour starting point also require significant time, as well as the use of public transportation that is often unfamiliar to new arrivals. Therefore, this tour is not suitable for guests with an expected arrival time of 8:30 AM or later. If your ship is scheduled to dock after that time, you will not have time to arrive. I ask you to be responsible. Do NOT book if you are not sure you will arrive on time.
All this and much more!

IMPORTANT:
A minimum number of participants is required for the tour to take place.
Please book only if you're actually coming. This tour has limited seating. If for any reason you change your mind and can't or don't want to attend, please cancel your reservation via the confirmation email. By canceling, you allow others to participate and enjoy the tour. This is a professional tour. I ask you to be as responsible as I am in my job.
MAXIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE PER RESERVATION OR GROUP: Group reservations of more than 6 people or reservations divided into several groups are not accepted. Reservations for multiple subgroups of more than 6 people will be effectively canceled, as there are daily limits on the tour. For groups of more than 6 people, I recommend booking a private tour.
If groups of more than 6 people or split bookings are detected at the meeting point, the guide reserves the right to charge €10 per person at the start of the tour.
The minimum expected amount per participant is €10 per person, as reported on the booking page.
The pace of the tour is demanding. Istanbul is not a flat city, and the tour involves intensive walking for just over three hours. It is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
I hope you enjoy this tour!
