Tour description

Communal Brussels!
When arriving in Brussels a word that is repeated a lot is "commune" . The communes or rather, the communes. What are they?

Brussels is divided into nineteen municipalities or communes. Each of them is governed by its burgomaster and they are independent of each other, being governed by different rules in some aspects.
On this occasion I encourage you to live and be part of the commune for a few hours as an authentic local from Brussels.

Let yourself be surprised!
We are going to visit the commune of Anderlecht , which is only about 15 minutes from the city center. It is not the typical tour through the center of Brussels, but we will integrate for a few hours in one of the three largest and most interesting municipalities in the city.
Some curious facts about this commune:
Did you know that the Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht is located in Anderlecht, in the Brussels-Capital region and disputes the Belgian First Division?

There is also a statue of Jean -Claude Van Damme. The famous Belgian actor who triumphed in the cinema with his martial arts films.

Places to visit:

  • Place de la Vaillance
  • Saints Pierre et Guidon Collegiate Church
  • Maison d'Erasme (Where Erasmus of Rotterdam lived)
  • Canal'de Brussels ( This canal is one of the oldest navigable canals in Belgium and in all of Europe. The works began in 1550).
  • L'Abbatoir (One of the largest urban markets in Europe)
  • Brasserie Cantillon (Cantillon Brewery).
  • And more….
