Hello my name is Louis I have lived in different parts of London all my life and in Islington for the last 4 years . I love the area especially history the cool squares and obviously the regents canal. Islington is a walking and cycling friendly area and famous for it’s night life. It has lots of restaurants, cool “out of the way”pubs and bars . I am happy to share my knowledge with you.

Tour description

We will walk part of the “New River” which is not a river or new!
We will visit the Regents Canal. Looking at who used the canal when built and how it is used now. We will visit some of the best Squares in Islington.
On our way we will pass some delightful pubs and music venues.

Highlights will include:

Places on the London Monopoly Board.
Why is this part of London called “The Angel”
Thomas Paine - memorial.
Close to the city yet a tranquil village atmosphere.
Award winning Arlington Sq
Some Great local knowledge.

We will return to Angle Station. Crossing the vibrant Upper-street and Essex Roads.
