Welcome to the Unknown Beauty, a name originally dedicated to our majestic Cathedral, but which we now use to refer to the Capital of the Carrión River.
Welcome to the Land of Fields , fields that served as inspiration to distinguished writers and on which our "Cristo del Otero" stands, one of the highest in the world.
We will begin our guided tour in the Plaza Mayor, which dates back to the 17th century. Our meeting point will be in the center of the square, next to the monument to Alonso Berruguete . Work of the sculptor Victorio Macho .
We will continue towards the Church of San Francisco, one of the oldest in medieval Palencia, to continue towards the Palace of the Provincial Council and the Monastery of Las Claras where we will see one of the most impressive images of Christ ever sculpted .
We will continue through the historic center of the city until we reach the Church of Our Lady of the Street , where our patron saint, popularly known as "la morenilla", is found. We will continue towards the Church of San Miguel with its unmistakable bell-tower and known for its slenderness and harmony as " the well planted one of Castile ".
We will continue our tour along the Calle Mayor , nerve center of our city while we observe the mansions and balcony facades that characterize it so much, making special mention of the Colegio de Villandrando.
We will finish our visit arriving at the Cathedral, our beautiful unknown , the third largest in Spain and I can guarantee you that it will not leave you indifferent.

I will be in the center of the Plaza Mayor, next to the statue. I'll bring my accreditation.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
