Hegab was very nice, and apologized for cancelling the tour due to his sickness. He cancelled the program well in advance, so his cancellation did not cause any inconvenience for us. In addition he suggested that we should go through the itinerary he provided.

This was an excellent tour - so much food! If you want to taste some really authentic Egyptian dishes this is the tour for you - the most amazing Garlic Chicken Shwarma, Koshary, Falafel, Ful and loads of sweet treats (I especially enjoyed the Arabian ice cream). And all washed down with a tamarind drink that tasted sublime. Hassan will take you to 6 or 7 local places and suggest the best dishes on offer. It’s all done at a relaxed pace and he’ll tell you about the history and architecture of the places along the way. Make this the first tour you do in Cairo and you’ll be back at the places to eat again and again!

Hassan gave us a fantastic walking tour! He was so friendly and informative, and even checked on our allergies. He took us to hidden gems we would have never found on our own, and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip in Egypt. It was a wonderful experience of genuine Egyptian hospitality. I am still in a food coma! The food started with a big bowl of traditional Egyptian dish, koshari, when the waiter made a great show of how to prepare a sauce for the dish. Our tour guide was very knowledge and enthusiastic. He appreciated all interest about the Egyptian cuisine and answered all my questions. If you are a foodie or want to try local food, this is the tour for you!
