The Royal Route is the name of the historical route through the center of the Czech capital, Prague, along which future Czech kings traveled to their coronation. The route began at the Royal Court in the Old Town, the former seat of the Czech kings on today's Prašná brána (on the site of today's Municipal House). We continue along Celetná Street, through Old Town Square past the Old Town Hall, from there through Malé náměstí Square, Karlova Street past Klementin, through Křižovnické náměstí Square under the Old Town Bridge Tower, along Charles Bridge under the Gate connecting the Malostranská brána bridge towers, then through Mostecká Street to Malostranské náměstí Square, through Nerudová Street and to the Castle, and through Hradčanské náměstí to Prague Castle to St. Vitus Cathedral.
