Hi 👋 I'm Juan, Cali local, born and raised here. Tourism is: something I love to do, something I am good at, and something I can make a job out of. That's why I have found a vocation in it. My tours keep growing, expanding, innovating, always a project-under-construction. They're never finished as I keep improving them with the experience every traveller brings. I speak superb english, native spanish, fluent portuguese, and some french. Thanks for considering me to show you my hometown. Welcome to Cali!
For travelers who want to feel local authenticity
Historical landmarks, local food (and fruits), a cup of Colombian coffee on a 7th floor (with a great view!) and USB Memory Sticks with up to 1000 Salsa & Reggaeton songs... for a fraction of a price!
This tour is a bargain all over and stands up to its name and presents to you a local street commerce experience full of unique spots inside CENTRO, local name for the commercial district of Cali, a 3 million people metropolitan area. A place where everybody goes searching for the BBB:
-THIS IS NOT A HISTORY TOUR, NEITHER A FANCY DOWNTOWN TOUR - this is a shopping tour where we will explore the intestines of a society where street commerce is rampant and everybody wants to get the best deal.
Follow me on a journey to the heart of Cali. Where beauty meets beast, at any given corner. It's real, and fun!
Street vendors multiplied by a thousand. Cheap, local food. Imports, bulk buying and selling. Counterfeit merchandise (or as we call them, Triple A brand Copies). Basically anything and everything at an unbeatable price. Any Colombian knows if you don't want to pay more, centro is the place to go.
A fun tour where we will explore a south american concrete jungle.
Let's meet by the Ermita Church: the most famous church in Cali. Great landmark to start the tour.
On this corner, there is a guy that sells USB Memory Sticks with the latest colombian music: salsa, reggaeton, and more.
San Andrés is an island in the caribbean, which is colombian territory. Colombians used to go there and buy cheap imports and this mall expands on that concept.
A café with one of the coolest views I know. It sits on a 7th floor.
For some history and architecture, we will visit the "mother church" of Cali.
A food stop for some typical baked goods, fried snacks and even a couple of local beverages.
We end up at Cali's favorite place to chill by the river, next to our starting point.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
