Tour description

Embark on a fascinating free walking tour through the cobbled streets of Birgu, one of Malta's most authentic towns.

Explore picturesque squares and hidden gems, creating a connection with the authentic charm of Birgu, on an enriching journey through time and our culture.

This experience, led by one of our licensed guides, reveals the layers of history within the city's medieval and baroque architecture providing a clear understanding of the city's cultural fabric.

Don't let the city's charm make you believe that nothing interesting happened here:

In 1565, Birgu was the heart of the Great Siege of Malta, when Ottoman forces relentlessly attacked the city, but the Knights of St John, aided by local defenders, valiantly repelled the invaders.

During World War II, Birgu witnessed intense air raids and naval attacks. As a strategic outpost in the Mediterranean, it faced incessant bombardment by Axis forces.

We accept bookings for groups of more than 6 participants, upon payment of a deposit of €10 per person

You will enjoy the tour with our official licensed guides, professionals who have made guiding their life, their passion and their livelihood and, to keep the tour sustainable, we recommend a minimum donation of €10 per person.
