The first and only tour in Italian (also available in English) through the blood-stained streets of West Belfast, where the Troubles took place.
The first and only historical-political tour of Belfast in Italian (also available in English - for more information, contact me by booking). We'll visit the landmarks of West Belfast ( Falls Road and Shankill Road ), discovering the history of the Troubles through the murals and commemorative installations that dot the city.
We'll start from Divis Street (Falls Road - the Catholic road) and the infamous Divis Tower . We'll discover the protagonists and events of the Northern Irish conflict. We'll then head down the Falls Road, visiting the International Wall , the Garden of Remembrance , and the H-Block Memorial . Depending on the travelers' wishes, we'll visit the Irish Republican History Museum at Conway Mill . We'll then continue to the Bobby Sands mural . Afterwards, we'll take a short break with the opportunity to purchase West Belfast souvenirs next to the Sinn Féin headquarters. From here, we'll take a bus to Milltown Cemetery. Then, back on the bus, we'll retrace our steps for a walk along the Peace Wall that separates the Falls Road from the Shankill Road (predominantly Protestant). We'll stop at Frizzell's Fish Shop , the site of a bomb explosion at the end of the Troubles, before continuing on to the Shankill Memorial Park. We'll pass by the former Bayardo pub, another site of an explosion, to conclude the tour at the Shankill Mission . From here, we'll walk back to the meeting point.
