Essential Free walking tours of Aveiro

I loved the tour! We walked around the city and our tourguide even brought ribbon for us to tie around the bridge (typical of Aveiro) and we tasted some of the typical Aveiro sweets. The tour was interesting and tourguide has very good English.

Sergio has great knowledge of his city, Aveiro. We learned about the history and how it evolved to its present. He kept us engaged and entertained. With just the two of us as his guests, he didn't cancel on us. What a true professional!!! Wonderful tour!!

The tour was superb. We had only 3 h in Aveiro (between visiting Portu and Coimbra) and this 2 h walking tour had covered all the main attractions in a-very interesting, emotional and fanny way. We really had fun. Thank you, Sergio!!!

It was an amazing tour!

Excellent tour with Sergio this morning. Lots of information about past and present Aveiro including lots of photos. Introduced us to Ovos Moles, the local delicacy … delicious! Lots of recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Highly recommended!

Sergio was an excellent guide. It is very clear that he loves Aveiro and knows how to show this city very well. I enjoy the amount of historical facts he mentioned. He also makes the tour entertain and makes you interact. We were also fortunate enough to enter few places quickly since we were in the first Sunday of the month, when all museums are free in Aveiro. And of course, he gave us nice tips of what to do afterwards, where to have a drink, and where to eat. I totally recommend taking the tour with Sergio.

The Tour with Sergio was so much fun, we enjoyed ourselves a lot. You really felt that he wanted to make you happy and see the interesting site from Aveiro. He gave us so much information, he even put together a sheet with so much information about the city and a map of where we walked, so it was easy to make the best of our short time. It was very interactive and he even gave us a small present, we really appreciated that. I can recommend Sergio 100% and the tour was perfect to get an overview. You feel that Sergio is passionate about that work and the city and that makes you fall in love with Aveiro even more.

Loved it! Sergio was great! He is very fun and easy to talk to. He will explain the history, show you pictures, tell you local stories of the city and give you all the info about staying and exploring more in Aveiro. Sergio was very good and professional. He has since emailed cycling routes which was helpful. Slight issue was the mix of 2 languages amongst the walkers so he had to repeat everything twice. Would be better for everyone if there was only one language.

¡Totalmente recomendado! Mi pareja y yo fuimos los únicos en el tour y tuvimos un tour privado con Sergio y fue una maravilla. El recorrido muy completo con partes de la ciudad que no imaginas y toda la información muy interesante y relevante. Lo recomendamos totalmente, ya que Sergio es una persona local que se ve adora su ciudad. ¡No os lo penséis dos veces y reservad con él!

We had a fabulous time and learned a lot about Aveiro. Sergio gave us recommendations for and places like the beach and the botanic gardens and the salt pans. We visited all those places and really appreciate his help.

You less than a minute ago With friends of mine we had a tour with Sergio in Aveiro this summer. Aveiro is a small city and walking around with a local and listening stories about history and modern life of the place was super nice. The only thing is not related to the tour, the owner or waiter of an old local restaurant denied to serve us as tourists.. Recommend the tour :)

Sergio took us across the town to areas I hadn’t explored and gave us an excellent cultural and historical overview. He clearly loves his city and loves to share his knowledge.
