Bucharest Food Tour

We immensely enjoyed our tour and all the lovely treats we got to try. If you want to discover the taste of Bucharest in a lovely company with a wonderful guide, this is the tour for you. Ideally plan for it at the beginning of your trip as you will receive a lot of tips and recommendations for further exploration of the city and make sure you wear comfortable shoes as the tour takes a while. Worth every moment though! Planning to revisit a few spots with treats already.

Andrei was informative, entertaining, and so much fun! His storytelling is truly something special and I especially enjoyed hearing the Dracula legend from him. The bars we stopped at were fantastic, and it was great to learn more about the local drinks and culture. He also did a great job keeping everyone engaged, answering all our questions, and making sure we were having a great time throughout the evening. 10/10

Andrei was a super guide. He provided lots of great information while showing us wonderful food and coffee spots. Way too many sweets for me to try, but fortunately I have several more days to go back. Plus, he provided a list of places to go, restaurants, night venues, etc. Andrei answered lots of questions. He took his time, adjusting to the group's laid back pace. Everyone enjoyed the tour. I can't recommend this tour highly enough.

I love food walking tours and this one was very well done. The guide was enthusiastic and very friendly and told us about Romanian and Bucharest history, showing us important and/or interesting sights in the city and linked them to the people's views, which I was very interesting. In-between we made several food stops and the guide told us about the food culture (traditional as well as modern) and how it is connected to history. The food was yummy - you should really head the advice and bring an empty stomach! We were also sent a list of recommendations afterwards. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Andrei is the real deal. As two guys on a weekend trip to Bucharest, we weren't sure what to expect from a "tipsy history tour" – but this ended up being one of the highlights of the whole trip. Andrei has a genuine passion for his city and knows how to balance history with a great night out. The traditional bars he took us to were hidden gems we would never have found on our own – authentic spots that felt nothing like the tourist traps in the Old Town. The local drinks (palincă, vișinată) were a bonus. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Bucharest.

Definitely one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Andrei is a fantastic guide and storyteller who makes history interesting and fun. The evening felt very social, like hanging out with friends from all over the world, and the drinks spots were a real highlight. His recommendations after the tour were incredibly helpful too.

There was a lot more history than i expected and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it to be educational and eye-opening to someone who is visiting Bucharest and Romania for the first time and knew very little about its storied past other than the world-class gymnasts they seem to effortlessly produce. The stories behind some monuments and relics are poignant. The food stops were good too! Highly recommend this tour.

How often do you have a tour guide with several university degrees, including a masters in Eastern European history giving you a “free “tour of an amazing capital city? Andreea was fantastic! I have participated in dozens of this type of Tour and she is among the very best. I would highly recommend one of her many styles of tours.

I had an incredible experience on this Bucharest food tour! Our guide, Andrea, made the day truly special. Not only did she take us to some fantastic local spots with delicious recommendations, but she also brought the city’s history to life in such an engaging way. Andrea has a Master’s degree in Romanian history, and it shows—her knowledge and passion for the city gave so much depth and context to everything we saw and tasted.
