Silvia's Walking-Tour durch Buenos Aires was simply fascinating! Her profound knowledge and passion for the history of Argentine women, who have shaped the identity of our country as rebels, fighters, thinkers, and transgressors, were clearly evident.
During the tour, Silvia led us to the city's most significant sites, including the impressive Women's Bridge, the emblematic Plaza de Mayo, and the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral. Her tales of spies, saints, forbidden lovers, and heroines captivated us from beginning to end.
Of particular note was the story of Juana Azurduy de Padilla, a Latin American guerrilla leader in the fight against the Spaniards, who is regarded as one of the most famous freedom fighters of the South American Wars of Independence.
Overall, Silvia's tour was an unforgettable experience that not only brought us closer to the history of Argentina but also provided a deep insight into the inspiring stories and achievements of Argentine women.
