I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
Awesome tour! Very comprehensive! Robert keeps talking for the whole 3h30, I don’t know how he makes it 🙂
The best walking tour I’ve ever been on — and one that genuinely made me want to leave a review. Robert made a strong impression from the very start by remembering everyone’s names, which immediately created a warm and personal atmosphere. Throughout the tour, he was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, keeping the group involved with little quizzes and rewarding us with traditional Hungarian sweet treats. What truly set this tour apart was how personal and meaningful it felt. He shared stories from his own family’s experiences during the war, which added a deeply human and intimate perspective you rarely get on standard walking tours. It made the history come alive in a powerful way. An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. I only wish he also led the West Buda tour — I would have joined that too without hesitation.
Very candid. Robert presented the facts well and included personal and family stories relative to the topics. He engaged the group with questions and r rewarded correct answers with prizes. Humorous and serious at appropriate times. Gave the group a chance to rest while he talked on a long topic. He is passionate about history and his homeland and it comes across during the tour. Well done Robert
