Robert is a unique tour guide and it is clear he loves what he does. He brought local candy which he gave out for correct answers, he brought us to a cute coffee place for a coffee of our choice and a warm place to warm up while he continued to talk about things we could see outside the window, and he was the consummate storyteller. He shared many personal family stories as well as historical and current day stories. He was mindful of our time and as none of us had anyplace we had to be, he kept our tour going overtime which was great. Robert followed up with a photo of the group and a document with suggestions of things we could do and places we could eat at in the area and places off the beaten path.
Robert is a great guide and presentes us with a fantastic tour. He is genuinely passionate about Budapest, its history, and its curiosities. On top of that, he’s an excellent storyteller and even includes stories from his own family, which gives us a sense of closeness and familiarity with the city and everything it has to offer. The tour flies by, helped as well by Robert’s great sense of humour and the way he adapts his tone to the narrative he’s sharing. In short, a fantastic experience and one of the best free walking tours I’ve ever done (out of more than a dozen).
Heard about the history of Hungry and lots of interesting facts you wouldn’t pick up in the history books .
Robert was a great guide. I really enjoyed his personal stories that he shared with us.
