I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
Really sweet, knowledgeable and caring guide. He took the time to explain multiple facts (history, art, film… etc). The tour was interactive and engaging. He brought tea and he had prepare a “knowledge game”. It was fun and we learned a lot. Thanks so much!!!

Robert was an excellent GuruWalk guide, he was friendly, funny, informative, knowledgeable and incredibly engaging. His enthusiasm and energy for combining history and cultural was captivating. He kindly brought a flask of hot juice to share with the group as it was a bitterly cold day. Robert has the unique ability to engage through narrative, creating a truly memorable experience - some stories were hilarious and some were heartbreaking. We had an amazing experience with Robert as our GuruWalk guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history and culture of Budapest to life in a way that was engaging, thoughtful, and fun. He kept the entire group involved throughout the tour, encouraged questions, and tailored the pacing perfectly. Robert is a unique tour guide and it is clear he loves what he does. He brought local candy which he gave out for correct answers, he brought us to a cute coffee place for a coffee of our choice and a warm place to warm up while he continued to talk about things we could see outside the window, and he was the consummate storyteller. He shared many personal family stories as well as historical and current day stories. He was mindful of our time and as none of us had anyplace we had to be, he kept our tour going overtime which was great. Robert followed up with a photo of the group and a document with suggestions of things we could do and places we could eat at in the area and places off the beaten path.
