I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
The walking tour with Robert was fantastic. Highly recommend it.
We highly recommend Robert…what an amazing guided tour! Robert has a wealth of knowledge, adds a good dash of fun and some touching personal stories to the tour.
Robert is fantastic. It’s the first time I’ve seen a guide that much engaged and determined to give his best. He shared a lot of information, and no question goes unanswered with him. He spent a great deal of time with us without any rush, he’s not the kind of person eager to finish quickly and go home. Honestly, it was more than just a walking tour, it was a true experience. We got to understand how he thinks, and since he’s an intellectual, a local born from local family, he can genuinely represent the hungarians past and mindset. These kinds of experiences can’t be replicated by AI. You can visit the same places, but not live the same depth of experience as a local. That said, everything he mentioned in his tour description is true: if you’re not comfortable with English, it might be difficult to follow him at times, as he can speak quickly and go deep into details. Also, if you’re in a hurry, this tour may not be the right choice, since Robert takes the time needed to fully explain everything. 3h30 got even longer, we did not get bored since the tour was intercative and the stories were well told in an easy and chronological order with recaps sometimes. Also we weren't laughing out loud from start to end but it was never boring, with some some jokes and laughs. If you’re searching a laugh-out-loud experience, this may not be the right fit. It’s enjoyable and entertaining, but not centered around constant jokes, its more history centered with a bit of politics and alot of local recommendations. I even contacted him after the tour, and he kindly responded to all my questions. Thank you, Robert!
Robert did an amazing tour, he’s super informative, charismatic, and you can win small Hungarian prizes on his tour! I highly recommend
Fantastic tour! Robert was very well organized and made everything run smoothly. His energy and enthusiasm kept everyone engaged the whole time. He combined interesting historical facts with personal stories, which made the tour really memorable. I especially appreciated how he presented different perspectives on historical and controversial topics, explaining the different sides of the story in a balanced and thoughtful way. He also gave great tips on places to visit, answered every question and his passion really showed. The treats along the way were a lovely surprise too! Highly recommended!
