I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
Robert is really informative, funny and entertaining! He does a very long tour which reflect his dedication to this work and knowledge:)
Robert is a great storyteller and builds rapport with the people on the tour as well as incorporating personal stories of his family as they relate to historical events in Budapest.
This was an exceptionally informative and educational experience, made even better by the guide’s personal touch. We make it a point to book a guided tour in every major city we visit, and this easily stands out as one of our favorites. What was most impressive was that despite the terrible weather, the guide was so engaging that even our 8-year-old kept his attention and truly enjoyed the tour. High-quality storytelling that resonates with all ages is rare—we highly recommend this!
The tour was absolutely great! He is a very interesting man and so are his stories. He had some surprises for us (no spoilers) that show a lot of thought and heart that he put into the tour. He also adjusted to our pace and wishes (we made a stop to warm up and drink a great hot cocoa). It was a pleasure. Always great to hear stories from someone who loves to tell them. He made it very special! :)
Very interesting tour especially regarding the politics and history of the sights along with some fascinating anecdotes
