I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. If you join me, I will not only show you the most beautiful and important sights of the capital city but also share some of the best stories it has with you.
A brilliant tour, Robert is a knowledgeable and very articulate guide. His local knowledge, and indeed personal family interactions, within the framework of Hungarian history offer invaluable insights into Hungary the country and the city of Budapest. I thoroughly recommend this tour and would go as far as saying if you only do one 'organised' trip in Budapest, make it a walking tour with Robert. Dennis and Theresa - London
If you are the type of tourist who would appreciate a 3 and half hour walk straight and would not bother asking questions to clarify information you know or information given then this tour is for you. It was noted that it was a small group, only surprised that it was 30+ People in the tour, which in my opinion is at least a medium size group. I have never encountered a tour guide who gets offended when asked questions or clarifications about things. He was not friendly at all and made it seem that his way is the only way on things and no other queries or information matters as he seem to be "mr know it all". We stayed all throughout the tour for more than 3 hours, but was tempted so many times to just leave.
Robert shared many stories and insights. He included historical, cultural, and personal details. Highly recommend the tour!
Really excellent tour - very informative, well presented walking tour Couldn鈥檛 fault it
