I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. Robert gets into delicious detail describing and acting out the various characters making up the history and present of Hungary and life in Budapest. It’s a great way to introduce the layers of architecture and food in this city. Educational and entertaining at the same time. Highly recommend this tour on your first day. A lot of standing around and not too much walking. Very limited view of the City . However, i was suffering from a bad back so not moving didn't help !
Very nice and informative tiur with many interisting sidekicks. Gives a very good overview on hungarian history.
I learned so much from Robert's tour: history, entertainment, culture. He kept my attention for the entire 3+ hours of the tour. Just a note that he does speak a bit fast (but he has sooooo much information to give you!), but don't be shy to ask him to repeat or slow down a bit. I would happily do another tour with him any time.
