I was born in Budapest. Besides being a tour guide, I am a writer, journalist, playwright, and screenwriter. For me, stories represent the world and thus human understanding within it. That's why I am in love with Budapest, where the infinitely diverse facades, the musty walls of the historic castle district, and the spaces of modern communal areas tell mysterious and adventurous stories, just like the cobblestones beneath our feet, the facades above our heads, or the hidden pubs with their regular patrons. Brilliant tour. Robert was a great guide - despite it being a longer than the average walking tour on paper, it felt really relaxed and fun. He didn't just tell us facts we could have found in a guide book, but also personal stories and things you would only learn from a local. I was glad I did the tour on my first day in Budapest, because I found the guide he sent out post-tour to be very helpful. (Also I won a prize in one of his quizzes and am easily won over with free candy.)
Robert was excellent! Better than I expected and the personal family stories further gave it a bit oomph! Great historical narrative, good jokes and trivia! Definitely 5 stars and the best walking tour I’ve ever done and I’ve done plenty!
Robert is a very knowledgeable and fun guy.Would recommend his tour to anyone wanting to get a good insight into historic but also current and cultural aspects of Budapest and Hungary.

It was impressing how many historical information gave as in a really intriguing way. The only issue was that he spoke too fast for our children that after a while get bored. Other than that the whole experience is highly recommended
