This tour was not a FREE walking tour. The guide was generally perfect leading the tour. However it's unacceptable for the guide to state at the beginning of the tour that usually people give him £20 pounds per person, but he accepts more or less of this amount, and at the end of the tour ask for £20 per person, treating it as if it was a pre-agreed price. I have participated in more than 10 similar tours, and I have never experienced such behavior before.

It's strange that you never mentioned this at the time as both you and your companion were happy enough and chatted about future plans after the tour and took my suggestion of a walk to the Ouseburn Valley. The other guests were also very happy and enjoyed the tour but then you choose to publish a bad review rather than discuss - your prerogative of course but I'm glad that you at least enjoyed the walk.
