Hi, I'm Mónica. I like to know the places I visit, to understand a little bit more, the place and people.
So, I'm hoping to show you my hometown, and seduce you to come and return, because it is small, but it has so much history and beauty places to enjoy.
On this tour I will try to show you the main points in the town: Main square (Praça da Republica), the synagogue, the church of St. Francis of Sissi´s, the match box museum, the church of st maria, the church of st iria, and even the gardens (Mouchão and 7 hill garden)... and if you really like to walk, we can climb together to another church (N. Srª da Piedade), and even walk (or by car) go to the Pegões aquaduct.
We were visiting Tomar for 2 days as part of the Camino Portuguese. Unfortunately Monica was held up and the tour started late. Our friends didn’t wait as they were feeling unwell. However I am glad we ( me and my husband) did. The trip which was to be 2 hours was extended to meet the requirements of the group.
Fascinating account of the history of Tomar, both in general and in relation to the places we visited. Monica was clear in her explanations, very knowledgeable and also very helpful with ideas for other activities in the area.

Highly recommend this wonderful tour with Monica! She has lived in Tomar her whole life, and is a wealth of local and historical knowledge. In addition, she is so very kind. She went at our pace, made stops when we requested and answered our many many questions so patiently. You will love this tour with Monica
