The tour is extremely informative and gave me a history lesson that I didn’t get anywhere else with all my previous trips to Portugal. Monica loves history and it shows. She brought us through the town, to churches, the Knight’s Templar Castle, and a synagogue. Monica is very knowledgeable and is extremely kind. She drove us up the mountain and drove us to the train station. Take this tour. You won’t regret it. Just make sure that you wear comfortable walking shoes to trek up steep hills, take water, and a hat. If you are hungry get food in the middle of the town as the food spots by the train station are not as reliable.

Informative and interesting!

Frederico's passion for the History of Tomar is obvious in his tour of the Convent. He took us efficiently through the key sites of the complex and their historical evolution and usage. He was attentive to our questions and delighted to share more information from his wealth of knowledge. We really enjoyed his tour of the Convent before walking the old castle walls on our own.

Mónica was responsive and super knowledgeable, not only about her home town but European History in general from Antiquity. Her downtown tour of Tomar was well designed to cover the key historical and cultural sites as well as privileged access to some unique features. She was very flexible to our needs and desires as well as a pleasure to hang out with.
