Hi there, adventurous traveler!
I'm Julia - your fun-loving, story-spilling, street food-snacking local tour guide in Hanoi.
(Oh, and yes, I’m a fully licensed tour guide too!)
After 20+ years living in this incredible city, I can promise you one thing: Hanoi is pure magic. It’s where ancient legends meet buzzing motorbikes, where the aroma of sizzling bánh xèo dances through streets lined with French architecture and timeless pagodas.
But here’s the thing - Hanoi isn’t meant to be seen… it’s meant to be experienced.
That’s where I come in. With me as your guide, you won’t just tick off tourist spots. You’ll hear the whispered legends of old temples, sip a frothy egg coffee on a secret balcony, and maybe even learn how to cross the street like a local (pro tip: don’t stop walking 😅).
And yes - Train Street is on the list. Where else can you sip coffee as a train zips by just inches away?
Whether you're a culture lover, foodie, history buff, or just here for the vibes, I’ll tailor the journey to YOU. Expect laughter, surprises, hidden gems, and stories the guidebooks forgot to tell.
So… ready to explore Hanoi like a local?
Let’s hit the streets together - one bite, one legend, one laugh at a time.
Julia was an amazing guide, super friendly with a lot of information on various subjects about culture and the city. We were sorry to meet her in our last days of travel, otherwise we would have done other tours with her. 5stars ❤️
Thanks Van. We really enjoyed the walk. You showed us many beautiful and interesting places. You made it exciting sharing your stories and knowledge. Train Street is a must! Absolutely! I would highly recommend your tour. Thanks once again for a memorable experience. Terry & Melanie UK.
Julia's friendly and vivacious manner quickly put our group at ease, and we were soon talking and asking lots of questions. She knows the history of the sites, such as Ly Thai To and Ngoc Son, and presents it in a fun, accessible manner. Aside from the history, I enjoyed the way she explained some of the incidental things that came up on our walk, such as the insane traffic or when we stopped in front of a fruit stand and she pointed out the various kinds of fruit, many I'd never heard of before. Or our visit to Café Giang for egg coffee. I enjoyed this tour so much that I booked another one with Julia, her food tour.
Lisa is a wonderful person and she has a lot of history knowledge.
