I started my career as a City guide in 2018 and have found it to be immensely fulfilling. I really enjoyed visiting Bo-Kaap with Nathan as a guide. He provided lots of information on the area and the history of Cape Town. He is patient, kind and ready to answer or clarify any questions you might have about the walking tour. You will definetely be in good hands. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history. He was also very accommodating, patient and helpful!! I definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Cape Town. I loved the places I saw in the tour!
We joined the tour with positive expectations, but unfortunately the experience was mixed. While the atmosphere was fine, it felt as though the focus was more on making money than on providing a genuine cultural experience. The guru seemed primarily interested in generating as much income as possible. He even carried a card machine for payments and appeared less than pleased with our contribution, despite the tour being advertised as free. At times, it felt more like being guided between shops than being shown something authentic. In our opinion, a bit more humility and gratitude would greatly improve the experience. That said, the area itself is interesting, but the overall approach left us somewhat disappointed.
Nathan was very nice guide, he explained everything, was very cordial and friendly. Hi recommend.
A must tour with Nathan! He confirmed the tour even though there were only 3 people. He made sure to find a way to connect with everyone, sharing the stories of Capetown that resonated with each of us.
