Guatemalan by birth, Latin American chef David Farfán grew up in the city of Santiago, known today as Antigua Guatemala, and initially aspired to become an agronomist. However, after working with vegetable crops, he discovered great potential not only in growing them but also in cooking them. His passion and creativity for gastronomy led him to return to university to complete a Culinary Arts program in Guatemala City. His dedication and natural talent later took him to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he trained in Culinary Arts under some of the most renowned chefs in the region.
