Essential Free walking tours of Ho Chi Minh City

Quan and Andy were both excellent guides, especially as Andy had only been here a few weeks. They were extremely knowledgeable and were able to answer all my questions. Their English is exceptional. We had an amazing experience on our free walking tour with Quan! Despite a quick rain shower, he managed the small group perfectly and kept the pace enjoyable. Quan is a fantastic guide — knowledgeable, entertaining, and full of interesting stories about Ho Chi Minh City's history and culture. The tour included iconic spots like Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the Saigon Opera House, but the hidden gems like the Secret Weapon Bunker were the real highlights. Quan’s use of historic photos brought the city’s past to life in a way we didn’t expect. We also loved trying the famous salted coffee at Cà Phê Muối Chú Long and getting a taste of the local coffee culture. This was the perfect introduction to the city. If you want a personal, insightful, and fun tour, Quan is the guide to go with!

Ethan is very kind , animated and knowledgeable. The stops were really good. Just note the last stop you have to take a grab car to get to. It’s a cool final stop but then you are left in another district to fend for yourself.

The guide answered to all our questions, he speaks English very well and offered us a lot of informations. The tour is done even if there are 2 people.

It was really interesting and never boring. Ethan/ Trường (?) gave also extra information about things which came to our mind or we passed on the tour. We were really lucky with the weather as it was sunny 😎 and it was only a group of 4. We didn't enter the apartment café and the place for the cà phê muối, though, as told in the schedule but we had been to the apartment café the day before and the other café is just for take-away. It would be nice if you could update this information on the Guru Walk information page.

The tour could be succinct and still plentiful in just two full hours. Our guru was an enthusiastic young man who had very good english and a wonderful loca knowledge.

Ethan have a very good tour of HCM city highlights. He gave his perspective on the history at each point of interest. We managed to cover quite a lot in 3 hours or so. I was the only one on the tour that day so I was able to ask a lot of questions and we had very interesting discussions along the way! Ethan is a very good tour guide, he is patient and friendly!
