Kathmandu Food Tour

It was a lot of fun, Manoj is a cool guy and the food was fantastic. He actually showed us really good authentic places that we wouldn't have found alone.

Get taken to an array of little hidey holes harbouring morsels of Nepali deliciousness. What a treat!

The tour was great! Manoj took us to different places and we tried fishes that we wouldn’t have tried if manoj hadn’t introduced those items! He was helpful giving information about culture, history, politics and more or less everything you needed to know to have a preview of kathmandu! Lovely!

A surprisingly great experience! The tour was full of unexpected highlights. We got to taste amazing food at very local spots we would have never found on our own — each stop was a hidden gem. Manoj knows Kathmandu cuisine and is very excited to share the stories of provenance and cultural heritage for every item he showed us. During our tour, from our conversation, he pivoted and added two extra stops to give us extra depth and breadth. While two hours is a very short time we tried four different areas traditional foods and drinks. We wandered from Thamel to the oldest and busiest chowk (sorry, name escapes me)and saw much more than anticipated. We 100% encourage you to do this tour as soon as you arrive in Kathmandu. It will set the scene for your adventure and give you an excellent reference for foods.

If you don't know where to start with Nepalese cuisine, this tour is perfect to discover it! We went to very hidden local places and tried many things! Very nice experience!! thank you Manoj for the flavorful welcome to Nepal!

Really interesting tour and got me to try food I would have never known about otherwise. Also took me to food spots that would be impossible to find on your own, was all so tasty. Manoj was really knowledgeable and gave interesting context about Nepalese food culture and general information about Nepal and Kathmandu

Manoj was super knowledgeable about Newari cuisine and Nepal’s history. He took us to many off the beaten path places and every bite we had was far off the tourist path. Best samosas, lassi, and momos I’ve ever had!

I had some trouble understanding the guide’s English

This is an interesting tour for people looking to explore Nepalese food straight off the bat! Little bit more enthusiasm would be great but this may come in a bigger group!

Gostamos do nosso tour com o Manoj. Ele é muito gentil e, apesar de estar um pouco resfriado no dia, compareceu pontualmente ao local de encontro e nos levou a diversos lugares interessantes e escondidos que provavelmente não teríamos conhecido se não fosse o tour.

El tour está bien, te lleva a comer varias cosas locales que aunque no son grandes te llenas al final. A mi me resultó un poco complicado entender su acento a veces. Es simpático pero creo que podría poner más entusiasmo para que sea más entretenido y no solo llevarte a los lugares.
