Kathmandu Food Tour

Really interesting tour and got me to try food I would have never known about otherwise. Also took me to food spots that would be impossible to find on your own, was all so tasty. Manoj was really knowledgeable and gave interesting context about Nepalese food culture and general information about Nepal and Kathmandu

Manoj was super knowledgeable about Newari cuisine and Nepal’s history. He took us to many off the beaten path places and every bite we had was far off the tourist path. Best samosas, lassi, and momos I’ve ever had!

I had some trouble understanding the guide’s English

This is an interesting tour for people looking to explore Nepalese food straight off the bat! Little bit more enthusiasm would be great but this may come in a bigger group!

Gostamos do nosso tour com o Manoj. Ele é muito gentil e, apesar de estar um pouco resfriado no dia, compareceu pontualmente ao local de encontro e nos levou a diversos lugares interessantes e escondidos que provavelmente não teríamos conhecido se não fosse o tour.

El tour está bien, te lleva a comer varias cosas locales que aunque no son grandes te llenas al final. A mi me resultó un poco complicado entender su acento a veces. Es simpático pero creo que podría poner más entusiasmo para que sea más entretenido y no solo llevarte a los lugares.

Taking this food tour around Thamel was one of the highlight of my trip in Kathmandu! Manoj is a very experienced guide and bring us to try out many local delights within 2-3 hours. Those are the food that I would never have tried if I just walk around the city on my own. Highly recommended!

Thanks for showing us really cool hidden places, only locals like to go, and the really delicious Nepalese snacks and foods. Would definitly recommend if you want to get into touch with the Nepalese cuisuine.

There were only us two in the group so Manjo tailored the tour to our request. We had just eaten breakfast at the hotel so we didn’t want to eat and sample all the different foods but it was very interesting to see the locations and the foods that were available. Manjo is an excellent guide. We ended up having diner at one of the places he brought us to. It was excellent ! Thank you.

Manoj’s food tour was AMAZING! He’s chosen delicious-off-the-beaten-path places that we would have never found ourselves. We got to walk around as well inbetween eating. There was something my daughter really wanted to try some Nepali tea, and Manoj made a last minute change on route so we could go and try that. She was thrilled. This is the best tour we have ever done. Thank you Manoj - we’d definitely recommend this for families, groups or individuals.

I had a wonderful time with Manoj. He was knowledgeable, the food was tasty, and at places I would have never known about. He offered suggestions for other activities in Kathmandu and helped make arrangements. I would do more tours with Manoj.

The tour was great, even though it was Saturday night and we could not visit some of the places, the places we did go to were excellent. Local places I would never find on my own, Manoj really explained all the food and made us try some delicious stuff!

So far one of the best guruwalks I ever had ! Manoj will take you to some really local places with such a friendly attitude that you’ll not even feel you are in a tour ! It’s more like hanging out with a friend Highly recommended
