Great tour! Very informative and fun

It was an okay tour however the English level could be improved as well as the flow of the presentation.

I loved the tour. Very interesting. Learned a lot about Japanese culture. Ada is wonderful. Not to be missed.

The tour was great: we started on time with helpful pre-trip communication on logistics. Our guide Saurabh is very knowledgeable and professional. Most impressive was how well he explains the Gion and geisha culture in a way that is not only informative but also respectful of practices that may seem strange and exotic to many. Thank you!

I joined the free walking tour in the Gion district with Saurabh, and it was an incredible experience! He gave us a deep dive into the world of the geiko and maiko, sharing fascinating insights into their history, traditions, and daily life. Saurabh was extremely passionate and knowledgeable, and his storytelling made everything come alive. He managed a large group with ease, communicated clearly, and kept everyone engaged the whole time. I even got lucky enough to spot six geiko or maiko during the walk — an unforgettable experience! I learned so much about Gion and its cultural significance — definitely one of the most informative and captivating tours I’ve ever done. Highly recommend!

This was a fast paced tour but Saurabh always stopped and checked to see that everyone was there. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were lucky to see both Maiko and Geiko on this tour.

Miguel provided a very interesting and informative tour. We had no prior knowledge of Japan’s geisha and maiko culture and history. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the topic.

Very interesting walk, learnt a lot about the history of mako and geiko. Nice to walk around the area at night and see the various people involved in the centuries old traditions

Our tour guide had a great personality really new and stuff presented the facts about the geishas in a way that you really felt you left with an education but very light and happy

Fascinating and insightful walking tour through Kyoto’s Geisha district I joined the evening walking tour through the Geisha district, and it was fantastic! Our guide Ada was amazing — her deep knowledge about Geisha culture and Kyoto’s history made the tour truly special. It was entertaining, informative, and very engaging. We even spotted a few Geishas in the streets, which was such a highlight! Highly recommended

Muy interesante el tour, me hubiese gustado que se brinde en español también porque la guía sabía muchísimo y creo que en español lo hubiese podido comunicar mucho mejor. La verdad es que fue increíble igual

It was a nice safari tour looking for geiko’s. After the tour we saw some. We heard a lot of information, but the group was very big so it wasn’t very personal. But after all we know more about the geiko’s, geisha’s and maiko’s.

Very interesting learning about the Geisha culture in Kyoto. Ada was very knowledgeable and excited to explain what we’re seeing in identifying the maiko and geiko near the tea houses.

Ada was fantastic!! The tour was extremely insightful and super interesting. A must do if you're in Kyoto!!
