Fantastic & highly recommended. Luís was a very personable & wonderful guide on this very very enjoyable foodie walking tour around central Madrid. We visited some great places, full of character with delicious specialties. In addition Luís provided us with so much on the background, history & broader context reflecting his interest and passion in food. I’m already looking forward to doing this tour again next time I’m in Madrid.

Luis was our absolutely fantastic guide. Small group, no ear pieces, just very conversational and interactive. Everyone had a wonderful time. His knowledge was first rate and he took us to sample really traditional, authentic dishes. Must do in Madrid.

As a Filipino traveler who has visited many places, I can honestly say that this food tour was something very special. Luis is an amazing guide. He only does tours for groups of six people or fewer because he really values interaction and connection with his guests. He is a chef and also a researcher, many more! and I learned so much about the food industry and local cuisine during the tour. Everything he shared was incredibly interesting, even the things I had never thought about before. He also recommended some of the best and most authentic restaurants, including places that have been open for more than 100 years. The recommendations were based on the group’s tastes and preferences, which made the experience feel very personal. If you really want to connect yourself to the culture it is always thru food. I am very happy that I joined this tour. This is definitely a 5-star experience for me.

Luis has a wealth of gastronomical knowledge: about food, in general, and specific to Madrid. He asked us about our interests and incorporated them into the tour. He took us to tapas bars that he considered the best at specific dishes or that had unique histories, The staff knew him and treated us very well at each location. He shared detailed and interesting stories about how dishes were prepared. We want to go back to the area and revisit some of the bars… the tapas were excellent. I absolutely recommend this tour to everyone who likes food and wants to dig deeper into Madrid food culture!

I was a solo traveler and met some cool people on the tour. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience fun and engaging. We got to try a great variety of authentic Spanish dishes and drinks while learning about the city’s history and food culture. Every stop felt carefully chosen, and the portions were generous. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, local culture, and incredible food. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madrid — definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

This food tour with Luis was a great find. The groups are small and intimate so you can always hear what is going on. The choice of venues were authentic and where locals would eat or purchase their food produce. The following day I visited one of the recommendations for a calamari sandwich which was amazing. Do yourself a favour and book this tour so you can experience Madrid like a local.
