An excellent walking tour with Ilídio – highly recommended! We had a fantastic experience exploring downtown Maputo with Ilídio. He was an excellent guide: extremely knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and genuinely passionate about his city and its history. What really made the tour special was the way Ilídio brought Maputo to life. He didn’t simply give us facts about the buildings and landmarks; he explained the history, culture and local context behind what we were seeing, which made the whole experience much more interesting and meaningful. Ilídio was also very friendly, patient and accommodating with our 8-year-old son. He made sure that our son felt included and comfortable throughout the tour, and he was happy to answer his questions and keep him engaged. This made a big difference for us as a family and allowed everyone to really enjoy the experience. The tour was relaxed and interactive, and Ilídio was always happy to answer our questions and share his personal knowledge and experiences. He also gave us useful recommendations about places to visit, local food and things to do during our stay in Maputo. You can immediately tell that Ilídio really enjoys meeting people and showing visitors his city. His enthusiasm, professionalism and excellent communication made the tour both informative and enjoyable. If you are visiting Maputo and want to understand the city beyond simply seeing the main tourist attractions, I would definitely recommend doing this tour with Ilídio. Really really enjoyed this walk – it far exceeded our expectations. Egas was so friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting. The route of the walk was simple and wonderful and Egas was a great conversationalist, not just about Mozambique and the sights of Maputo, but even about business and world politics, more broadly. His English is impeccable and his recommendations for restaurants/dishes and markets for the rest of our day were great too. Very very grateful to have spent our one day in Maputo with Egas! :)

We joined the free walking tour in Maputo and had an excellent experience with Romão as our guide. Romão showed us the city’s most important sights and shared fascinating insights about Mozambique’s history, culture, and daily life. His knowledge was truly impressive, he seemed to know every detail about the country’s past and was always happy to answer questions. What made the tour especially enjoyable was his friendly and relaxed approach. Exploring Maputo with him felt less like a guided tour and more like discovering the city with a good friend who genuinely loves sharing his home with visitors. We learned a lot, had great conversations, and gained a much deeper understanding of Maputo and Mozambique. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

Wir waren 3 Leute und 1 weitere Person kam dazu. Es war interessant, der guide konnte unsere ganzen Fragen beantworten. Im Markt ließ er uns eine Masala Frucht probieren. .das kam sehr gut an. Wir waren am Sonntag unterwegs, da ist die Stadt ziemlich leer und es treiben dich seltsame Gestalten in der Straße herum. Mit dem Guide fühlten wir uns sicher. Er sprach sehr gut englisch. Vielen Dank für den schönen Tag, den wir gemeinsam mit unserer neuen Bekannten verbracht haben.
