Fernanda was awesome! She had great energy, was extremely knowledgeable and we loved her stories. We now have a much better appreciation of the history of the murals and artists. I highly recommend this walk when in Oaxaca. Especially if you enjoy art. Jalatlaco is such a vibrant cute neighborhood with a much calmer vibe. Loved it!

This was the best walking tour we did in Mexico. Farid was amazing and explained everything to us about art and also history. He was very nice and we exchanged a lot of information about each other's culture and realized how similar we all are. I highly recommend this tour for the great art and amazing vibes.

We enjoyed this tour so much more than we expected! It was a fascinating way to learn about the history, art, and traditions of Jalatlaco and Oaxaca in general. We were 2 adults and 2 children (ages 9 and 11) and they both also enjoyed it. It is hot so we certainly recommend a hat / sunglasses / water / even bringing an umbrella for shade. That said, the guide was great about finding shady spots to stop and talk when possible. We almost skipped the tour to explore the murals on our own and are so glad we didn’t as we truly learned so much that we would not otherwise had had access to.

Fariq was very professional, and we really enjoyed his guided tour. He told us information regarding the stories of the artists and their paintings on the walls, along with the culture of Jalatlaco. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the Oaxacan culture. I would recommend this tour!!

The street tour was informative and full of color! I’d recommend this tour to anyone wanting a little extra information and historical facts about this beautiful neighborhood! The guide was knowledgeable and had great energy. I love that Oaxaca has a meeting location that is actually for local tours! This is a great touch and many cities don't have this!

Op 30 juni hebben we via Guruwalks een Street Art tour gedaan in Oaxaca. De naam van de gids zijn we even kwijt, maar de tour met hem was perfect! Bij iedere schildering werd wat verteld over de betekenis, de geschiedenis en de kunstenaar, waardoor we de kunstwerken écht leerde begrijpen. Een echte aanrader!

Edward gives the best tour. This is our fourth tour in our Mexican trip and he’s the most enthusiastic, clear and knowledgeable guide we have. He showed us multiple murals and provided historic context. The tour was fun and informative. Super enjoyable and the best tour in Mexico.

Our mural tour in Jalatlaco with Vanja exceeded our expectations Of it wasn’t for this your, we may have missed the ambience of this beautiful UNESCO protected neighborhood But now for the tour.. Vanya’s knowledge and exuberance kept our attention throughout The murals were beautiful and she filled in the space with stories that offered us many insights to the culture; whether it was about the Day of the Dead, feminism, political unrest, or the Zapatotec legends and symbols. It was our first day in Oaxaca and this tour set the tone for a visit we won’t forget Thanks much

Awesome tour! Our tour guide, Braulio, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared a wealth of information about the street paintings, the artists, techniques used by the artists, themes, symbolism, related art history, and Oaxacan culture and customs - and in a fun and engaging way. I would love to do other tours with him the next time I’m in Oaxaca.

Dulce with Guru walks in Oxaca City was a wonderful guide. My husband and I did the art walk. Dulce's style was welcoming, educated and showed she really cared about the city and art. I would highly recommend this city walk for anyone coming to Oxaca.

Fern was so knowledgable and engaging throughout the walking tour. Originally I was going to look at the street art in Jalatlaco solo but being able to hear the stories behind the art and the history took it all the to next level! The team was also super accommodating, their normal guide for that route was sick two days and had to cancel, but Fern stepped in to make sure I got to have the experience and led me on a 1 on 1 tour. Could not recommend more!
