We had a very nice tour with Momo as our guide who gave a solid introduction to the samurai- and castle-areas and the life in Edo-era-Japan. Also she was a knowledgeable and funny guide, and we were about 10 people on the tour, so there was opportunity to ask question. We can recommend this tour! :-)

Our experience on this tour was absolutely amazing! We were incredibly lucky because we ended up being the only ones on the tour, so it turned into a wonderful private experience with our guide, Muskaan. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Japanese history, and we were completely fascinated learning about the samurai and exploring the beautiful gardens in Kanazawa. Since it was our very first day in the city, the overview and historical context she provided gave us the perfect introduction to Kanazawa. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

Momo was kind and really smiling: we felt like we were with a friend. She explained interesting information regarding samurai and past history; she also gave us some suggestion to visit other places in Kanazawa. She also make us rest and drink often since was so hot, very kind, I appreciated this aspect so much!

We had a great tour of Kamakura with Momo today! It was her first tour, and my feedback for her would be to be more aggressive in rounding up the group (we had quite a large and challenging group, so I understand the struggles here) and to continue to practice her content. But she was so sweet and the route we took was fantastic: we saw so much! I really enjoyed the quizzes throughout the tour to keep us engaged.

Aiko was an absolute gem. Her storytelling, energy, and passion for Kanazawa’s history made this so much more than a walking tour — it felt like being transported back to the samurai era. We traveled as a family with teenagers, and she kept everyone engaged the entire time, which is no small feat! The highlight was Kenroku-en, where Aiko shared the story of the crane and turtle — and then pointed out where to actually find both hidden in the garden. That kind of detail is exactly what you’d never discover on your own. If Aiko is your guide, you’re in luck. Highly recommend.
