Tuve un muy bien gira, aprendí mucho y disfruté los conversaciones. Juan Pablo es un gui muy amable con mucha información y gran pasión por la ciudad!

Sehr empfehlenswert! Juan Miguel spricht fließend und sehr gut deutsch. Er läuft relativ langsam, vermittelt aber durchgehend interessante Informationen über die Geschichte, das Leben und Kultur der Stadt. Mit etwas schnellerem Laufen hätte man die Tour sicher auch in zwei Stunden schaffen können.

Amazing tour guide and learnt a lot about the city

Jules was very kind and told us a little bit about a lot about things. It lasted over 4 hours! For the area we covered 2 would have been enough. He did make a great restaurant recommendation and walked me to the most delicious chocolate shop after the tour.

We switched times to a morning visit only about 90 minutes before as the weather forecast for the afternoon was terrible and Werner was very flexible and understanding. I also brought a few more along, again that was fine. The tour took us to some impressive buildings and parks and Werner was very knowledgeable. Had a nice few hours.

Obwohl wir schon einige Tage in San Jose und viele Tage in Costa Rica verbracht haben, hatte Juan viele neue und detaillierte Informationen für uns, über die Geschichte des Landes, der Stadt und einzelner Gebäude. Wir hatten Gelegenheit Fragen zu stellen, in denen es auch um den Alltag in Costa Rica ging und so konnten wir wertvolle Einblicke erhalten. Wir haben diese sehr informative, vielseitige und kurzweilige Tour sehr genossen und können sie nur empfehlen.

Jules is an amazing guide. Not only did his tour show many nice places, he also gave lots of good tips relevant to tourists. His tour should be your first activity in Costa Rica.

Excellent tour! Jules was extremely knowledgeable, shared lots of interesting facts and local tips, and made the experience both informative and enjoyable. The snacks and samples of Costa Rican foods along the way were a great touch. Highly recommend!

Wow!! This was such a great tour. I learned so many things about San José and Costa Rica. Jules was very informative and even brought us fruits and snacks. The tour lasted longer than expected, but you are free to leave if you have prior obligations. However, I recommend staying for the entire tour. Thank you!!

Amaral tremendo guía.. es una persona nacida y criada en San José así que te brinda toda la información de la ciudad y más.. Muy profesional. Pienso que fue excelente en todo.. Además probamos cacao y un helado con receta original riquísimo 😋. 100% recomendado San José City Striders..

Amaral fue el mejor guía de los que tuvimos en todo el recorrido por costa rica. Es actor y aplica eso al tour por lo que lo hace entretenido. Siempre que lo sacamos del discurso del tour para preguntar cosas nos contesto con mucha información por lo que más allá de ser muy locuaz está muy formado y se nota que disfruta lo que hace. Además nos hizo probar helado y chocolate riquísimos. Creo que esta mal venir a costa rica y no hacer este tour. Lo súper recomendamos.

Werner was very kind and knowledgeable. He showed us parts of San Jose we would never have seen without him! He showed us the best coffee in town and a cute chocolate making store! We learned a lot about the history of San Jose and the influence of European countries. We would totally recommend a tour with him!!

Nos encantó conocer San José de la mano de Amaral, el realmente ama su ciudad y tiene como propósito que uno la ame y entienda también. Explica todo muy bien, conectando los distintos puntos que va visitando. El tour fue muy bueno para comprender la historia misma de la ciudad y del país, y se relaciona muy bien con lo que uno puede ver después en otros museos.

Definitivamente lo recomiendo. Amaral fue un excelente guía. Aprendimos mucho y fue interesante: historia , arquitectura y sugerencias para comer. El tour es de tres horas pero no se siente. El tiempo vuela.

This was a great introduction to the city center and downtown of San Jose. Jules did a great job personalizing the whole experience. He walks to you through the main attractions of the city center. He pays close attention to detail. It was a great experience. it’s about 3.5 hours long and it’s all worth it. Highly recommend.

El tour con Amaral fue un acierto, resultó muy entretenido, no se nos hizo largo y nos permitió descubrir parte de la historia de la ciudad. Amaral es un gran guía, haciendo que la experiencia sea amena y manteniendo a todo el grupo muy atento e interesado. ¡Volveríamos a hacer el tour sin duda!

Jules was excellent. He gave lots of cultural and historical information but interspersed with fun facts and local knowledge. He paced the tour well and spoke in the shade or where we could sit. He treated us to refreshing drinks from a local fruit shop and savoury pastries from a bakers. We stopped in a shady spot in a park and he provided fruit that he had prepared and brought from home in an ice cooler. He even brought toothpicks and spoons. He also brought umbrellas and little cloths to put on walls when we sat to protect our clothes. He recommended traditional family run restaurants and places of interest that we might like to visit. He even gave us tips to make our money go further. We have done many guru walks in many countries but Jules was a star by far the best.

It was a blast. He has a degree in history and was able to answer many questions. We were very appreciative of his tour.
