Singapore Food Tour

Perfect for foodies or anyone who wants to try the local cuisine at an affordable price! Angel was a really great guide, knowing all about the local cuisine and the many options. I can definitely recommend this tour!

Yesterday I became a tour group of one for my guide Wahida Angel who kindly chose not to cancel due to lack of participants. A winning "the show must go on" attitude prevailed. The tour was the 'Original Food Tour: Chinatown Hawker Hop' which gave you a better understanding of the variety of dishes on offer, their regional origin and an opportunity to taste something new and exotic. If you're a food snob, you can brag that you ate from Michelin rated vendors.... It was a fun day indeed but sadly not all that profitable for Angel. 😞 Thoroughly recommended for all as Angel's presentation style is informative, captivating and far from dry. ...and then at the end of the day, due to the good food and company, I hadn't snapped any food pic. 🥺

Really great tour! Our guide, Angel, was funny, entertaining, and informative. She taught us a lot about the food and culture in Malaysia. We explored a lot of Chinatown and she even took us inside the Temple of the Tooth Relic. We had a lot of different foods and now I know where to go to get the best wan ton, chicken noodles and laksa! It was great fun! I highly recommend it!

I loved this tour. Angel was great. So down-to-earth and really one of the best walking tours I’ve done. Less walking, lots of eating, and so great to have a wonderful local guide like Angel explain all the food and give recommendations. Highly recommend 🤩

This tour is super recommended. Come hungry and willing to try different things. Angel was super professional and great, she answered all of our questions and went the extra mile. Do book this tour when you come to Singapore, you wont regret it!

海外在住経験なしの日本人です。 同じく生粋の日本育ちである、17歳の娘と一緒に参加しました。 シンガポールは2度目ですが、山ほどあるホーカーズのお店の中からどこの何を食べるべきか、観光客に人気のミシュラン掲載店以外のお店が知りたく、参加しました。 説明は英語のみでしたが、Angelは携帯型のマイクとスピーカーを使ってくれたので、離れていても聞きやすかったです。 日本語で行われるプライベートツアーと違い、様々な国の人達と、ひと時の交流を持つことができるのも素晴らしい点のひとつ。英語学習中の娘にも、よい刺激になったようです。 シングリッシュは聞き取りにくい、と言われることもありますが、私がそう感じたのはホーカーズなどごく一部の場所だけでした。 Angelの英語は聞き取りやすく、ゆっくり話してもらうこともできますし、身振り手振りや、google翻訳を使っての理解も可能と思いますので、興味を感じられたらぜひトライください。 単なる美味しい店の紹介だけではなく、知らない場所で飲む。お店の選び方や、ポーパーズが赤える問題までできることができ、とても有益な時間でした。

Wahida hat uns von Minute eins mit tollen Informationen über die lokale Esskultur erzählt. Ihre empfohlenen Essen waren alle hervorragend und wir hätten alleine niemals all diese interessanten Geschmäcker gefunden.

Es war eine sehr kurzweilige und sehr informative und interessante Tour! Wahida (Angel) liebt, was sie vermittelt - das merkt man von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute! 👌 Wir hatten eine gute Zeit mit Wahida, haben einige Dinge probiert, die wir ganz sicher sonst nicht probiert hätten und haben uns ein bisschen wie "echte Singapurer" gefühlt... 😊 Dankeschön Wahida!!! 🫶🫶🫶 Alles war übrigens sehr LECKER 😋 und mein neues Lieblingsgetränk: Soursop Drink 😍

Stephen packed so much into our tour, including the use of Singapore’s transit system! Knowledgeable and engaging, time flew by and we walked away with a greater appreciation feel for the city. Stephen even provides some snacks and specialties from each of the neighborhoods. If it’s your first time to Singapore, this is a fantastic way to take in history and culture and a little taste of the country.

An outstanding experience with Stephen in Singapore! The tour was perfectly organized, taking us through three neighborhoods with very distinct cultures, which made the whole experience rich and diverse. We also had the chance to taste several local specialties — a real highlight that added an authentic touch to the visit. Stephen is a passionate, highly motivated guide who truly takes his time. He explains everything clearly, answers all questions, and adapts to the group’s pace. His English is extremely clear (almost too perfect!), making everything very easy to understand. A truly enjoyable and enriching experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We covered a lot of ground… We would never have made it to all the different cultural centers, and would definitely not have gained so much insight into the history of each area if we had gone on our own. It was truly a pleasure to tour with Stephen, who was an absolutely incredible guide in Singapore. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, kind, and fun, but also one of the most pleasant people I had the chance to meet during my trip in South East Asia. Stephen has a real talent for creating a wonderful group dynamic- everyone connected almost instantly. Beyond the tour itself, he thoughtfully introduced us to local delicacies and made sure every person felt included while sharing fascinating history and fun facts about Singapore. This was one of the best Guruwalk we’ve done anywhere in the world. I cannot recommend Stephen highly enough- it was a true highlight of our short stay in Singapore. Stephen was a very great guide. He shared his knowledge in a very personal, approachable & entertaining way. He kept the group together and answered any questions we had. The occasional snack, restroom break and possibility to grab a drink were also great additions to the whole tour.

We had a wonderful tour with Stephen. Very informative and interesting tour . Included some interesting food stops and a drink stop( pay yourself). We walked and went on the subway and had an all round fab time.The 3 hours went quickly and we could have done another 3 hours as it was so good. Thank you Stephen
