Singapore Food Tour

It was a very informative tour about the history of Singapore. We got to visit a lot of Hawker stalls and got to taste some dishes we liked. Wahida took our dietary restrictions into account and gave us a really pleasant experience. If you are a foodie and want to experience new tastes, this tour is definitely for you!

Stephen is the best guide ever! I've been on so many walking tours, but this one was definitely one of the best ones I've been on. His expertise, humor, planning, accommodation, and presentation of information is top tier. I absolutely loved every moment of this tour and learned so much more from it even though I had done a similar tour of Kampong Glam earlier in my trip. This is a really fabulous tour. Angel has put together a great route through 3 Hawkers markets with opportunity to see a fish market and veg market too. She explained something of Singapore’s history and how that has influenced the food culture and what is so interesting is how the hawker markets are for the immediate community and the chefs are part of that community too. Their skill and passion for what they make and accountability to locals to offer a service that is the backbone of their diet was really impressive. I would love to have eaten so many of the dishes on offer and loved what I did try. Angel has a great relationship with the stall holders we visited and was patient and helpful throughout. This is a really great tour with an experienced guide that will explain to you and equip you to buy food at Hawkers markets.

This was the best tour I have ever attended. If I could, I would give Angel 100 stars. She is just an amazing person and a stupendous tour guide. First, as soon as I made the booking, Angel reached out to me and asked me a series of questions to help us guide our tour. It was clear to me, even then that she was a warm, friendly and down to earth person. She is a great guide and a great person. Second, there is the tour itself. I have been in Asia for two weeks and have been a little hesitant to try new foods and then Angel educated me. Her historic knowledge of food and individual stalls in the hawker areas made me so comfortable. With Angel, you were treated like a local wherever you went. Not only that, she is personal friends with many of the chefs and cooks and workers that I met. It was like I was given a behind the scenes look into food culture in Singapore. You can’t put a price tag on the value of the education she provided. The food was delicious and authentic, and served to us by the most wonderful proprietors. At the end of the tour, I couldn’t wait to get back to the booth that I had visited to eat some more. If you are seeking to have a real authentic experience with a true local here in Singapore, Angel is the woman to see. Lastly, there was her knowledge of the history of Singapore in its unique cultural contribution to the world landscape. She didn’t teach me about just food. She taught me about Singapore itself and its historical origin. The tour wove together culture and food. Her knowledge about this place, her home, was extreme. As we walked along she shared story after story with me about life in Singapore. Her understanding of Singapore’s unique, cultural heritage was terrific too. There are definitely a lot of tour operators out there looking to make a fast buck. I felt so fortunate to meet Angel because for her it was her passion. From the moment we met until the end of her tour it was just one wonderful experience after another. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Angel to anyone visiting Singapore and wanting to live like a local. Great tour for first time visitor

Highly recommended food tour with Wahida I can't praise Wahida enough for this wonderful food tour! She introduced us to Singapore's incredible hawker food scene, explaining traditional dishes, local customs, cooking methods, fresh fruits, herbs etc. and also vegetarian options. We also learned about the Michelin-selected stalls in the hawker centres.The tour was both fun and educational – we tasted many delicious foods along the way. It felt like a private experience since there were only two of us in the group, both with the same passion and enthusiasm for food! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Singapore. Wahida is an amazing guide.

We enjoyed the tour immensely. Stephan gave us a lot of information explaining some of Singapore's history & integration of various ethnic cultures. While not a food tour, we did walk through some markets & sampled some snacks. Stephen was professional, easy to understand & responded to many questions from our group. We also got some great tips on places to eat.

Amazing tour! Stephen was so knowledgeable and shared his wonderful stories with passion, humour and humility. He managed to remember everyone's names and made everyone feel like an important part of the group. The tour took us to some key cultural areas of Singapore to give us a small overview of the history and the culture. Stephen's "Glimpse of Singapore" is a great tour to give you an overview of three distinct neighborhoods of Singapore and the backstory of their role in the history of Singapore. Couple this with Stephen's, great since of humour, some light snacks in the markets and further tips for your time in Singapore and you have a great tour.

Stephan is a really good guide, provided a lot of information, answered all the questions, shared a lot of do's and dont's, and a lot of food recommendations as well. There were so many moments to laugh with his really good sense of humor, I could absolutely recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed 👍
