Singapore Food Tour

海外在住経験なしの日本人です。 同じく生粋の日本育ちである、17歳の娘と一緒に参加しました。 シンガポールは2度目ですが、山ほどあるホーカーズのお店の中からどこの何を食べるべきか、観光客に人気のミシュラン掲載店以外のお店が知りたく、参加しました。 説明は英語のみでしたが、Angelは携帯型のマイクとスピーカーを使ってくれたので、離れていても聞きやすかったです。 日本語で行われるプライベートツアーと違い、様々な国の人達と、ひと時の交流を持つことができるのも素晴らしい点のひとつ。英語学習中の娘にも、よい刺激になったようです。 シングリッシュは聞き取りにくい、と言われることもありますが、私がそう感じたのはホーカーズなどごく一部の場所だけでした。 Angelの英語は聞き取りやすく、ゆっくり話してもらうこともできますし、身振り手振りや、google翻訳を使っての理解も可能と思いますので、興味を感じられたらぜひトライください。 単なる美味しい店の紹介だけではなく、知らない場所で飲む。お店の選び方や、ポーパーズが赤える問題までできることができ、とても有益な時間でした。

Wahida hat uns von Minute eins mit tollen Informationen über die lokale Esskultur erzählt. Ihre empfohlenen Essen waren alle hervorragend und wir hätten alleine niemals all diese interessanten Geschmäcker gefunden.

Es war eine sehr kurzweilige und sehr informative und interessante Tour! Wahida (Angel) liebt, was sie vermittelt - das merkt man von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute! 👌 Wir hatten eine gute Zeit mit Wahida, haben einige Dinge probiert, die wir ganz sicher sonst nicht probiert hätten und haben uns ein bisschen wie "echte Singapurer" gefühlt... 😊 Dankeschön Wahida!!! 🫶🫶🫶 Alles war übrigens sehr LECKER 😋 und mein neues Lieblingsgetränk: Soursop Drink 😍

The tour with Angel is an absolute must for anyone planning to eat at hawker centers, try unique dishes, and truly understand hawker center culture—especially what to look out for. With her lively and engaging personality, she explains everything in a highly entertaining way, pointing out what really matters and sharing specific tips on where to find not just good, but outstanding food. The tour is particularly worthwhile at the beginning of your trip, as it gives you a clear idea of what to look for in hawker centers afterward. I ended up trying almost all of her recommendations and am incredibly grateful for this amazing culinary experience. I can highly recommend this tour—especially early in your trip—so you’ll still have plenty of time to explore and enjoy all of her fantastic suggestions.

Great experience being guided around a few of Singapore’s hawker food markets. Entertaining and informative, we had the opportunity to try things we would otherwise never have gone near and came away confident about being able to buy what we wanted and from the right stalls. Angel is an amazing host and guide and is such a bubbly person. For about 2.5 hours she shared some of her best recommendations around Chinatown and a recommendation of some stalls which are as good as the famous versions which have longer queues. I highly recommend this tour with Angel. Arrive hungry!

Sehr gute Tour, man kommt zu Plätzen, die man alleine nicht finden würde und bekommt einen tollen Einblick in die Esskultur. Angel ist sehr professionell und witzig. Wir würden die Tour wieder besuchen.

Great tour - we found so many incredible food spots

We booked the free walking Hawker tour with Angel, pretty last minute. We wanted to try some Hawker food, see and hear about some history of Singapore’s Chinatown, and talk with a local. This tour of course, checked allll the boxes! Angel is super friendly, offered tons of info and suggestions on what to try or where else to go, and made a couple of hours really fly by. She also helped teach us how to navigate the mazes of malls so you don’t have to melt in the heat outside!

Angel is very passionate about Singapore and the food on the tour. We stopped at a lot of Michelin cheap eats and I had delicious snacks and meals. I really enjoyed the day and will highly recommend

We had a wonderful experience with Angel. She is knowledgeable, passionate about food and people, and moreover she is kind. She introduced us to vendors and cooks and we had some lovely interactions thst we never would have had in our own. Could not have asked for a better experience. The concept of a “free” food tour where you choose what food to purchase worked great for us. We were not overly full at the end of the tour and we had received a lot of interesting information so that we could return later to sample more of the dishes. In addition to the food, Angel explained some of the history and culture of Chinatown and Singapore in general. I would do this again. Highly recommended.

It was a very informative tour about the history of Singapore. We got to visit a lot of Hawker stalls and got to taste some dishes we liked. Wahida took our dietary restrictions into account and gave us a really pleasant experience. If you are a foodie and want to experience new tastes, this tour is definitely for you!
