Booked this last min and glad I did. I booked the 8pm tour and it was enjoyable to walk around Tashkent at night (when it’s much cooler). Donat shared a lot of historic info about Tashkent. Highly recommend

Really top tour. We were alone with Donat as it's low season and he was still super committed, naturally blending the overview of Soviet elements in Tashkent with great insights about the daily life in Uzbekistan.

This was a really fascinating tour focusing on the relatively modern part of Uzbekistan/ Tashkent’s history. Excellent complement to the other tour on the old town! Highlight for me was visiting the top floors of Hotel Uzbekistan, which we would not have known to visit otherwise. Donat also gave us excellent food recs!

We had a wonderful experience on this walking tour! Our guide was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. He made every stop interesting with fascinating stories and local insights, and were always happy to answer questions. We entered the Uzbekistan Hotel and had a walk in the park in front of it. The tour was well-organized, engaging, and the perfect pace. Thanks to Donat, we discovered places and details we would have completely missed on our own. In his blue folder, he has many pics he uses to tell story about every place! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. A truly memorable experience!

The Soviet Evening Tour with Donat was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of my time in Tashkent. Donat is incredibly entertaining, knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Uzbekistan and the Soviet past of the city. The tour never felt dry or overloaded with facts — instead it was the perfect mix of storytelling, humor and fascinating historical context. I actually also joined his Old Town & Chorsu tour and would truly recommend doing both tours if you have enough time in Tashkent. You learn so much while having a genuinely great evening. Booked this tour with Donat for the first evening we were in Tashkent, and wanted to dive into Soviet era history and stories. Donat was very knowledgeable, and made the walk very interesting, with a variety of facts and anecdotes. He was also happy to answer questions outside of the Soviet era history, which we appreciated.

Excelente tour que ofrece un recorrido inesperado por el pasado soviético de Tashkent a través de edificios, avenidas y monumentos icónicos, distinto a otros tours quizás más “típicos” por la ciudad. Donat es un guía fantástico, amable, culto y ameno. Sin duda, 100% recomendable! No os lo perdáis!
