This was, without a doubt, one of the best free walking tours I’ve ever experienced. Our guide was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing a deeper understanding of Japanese society and culture. What I appreciated most was her ability to approach even the most sensitive and uncomfortable aspects of Japanese society with remarkable neutrality and intellectual honesty. She didn’t seem influenced by any particular political movement, ideology, or personal belief, nor did she try to impose her own opinions on the group. Instead, she presented different realities, historical contexts, social dynamics, and even some of the darker and more controversial sides of Japanese society in a balanced, thoughtful, and objective way. I particularly appreciated that she didn’t try to romanticise Japan or simply reinforce the image that many tourists arrive with. Beyond the beautiful temples, traditions, technology, and politeness that we all admire, she also helped us understand some of the less visible realities, contradictions, social pressures, and challenges that shape everyday life in Japan. She managed to explain complex topics without judging, preaching, or telling us what to think. She simply provided the context, shared the facts, and allowed us to form our own opinions. I believe this is exactly what a great guide should do: encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the place you’re visiting. It’s easy to find tours that show you beautiful places, but much harder to find someone who genuinely helps you understand the society behind them. She did exactly that. I left the tour with a much richer perspective on Japan, several things to reflect on, and a genuine appreciation for her approach to guiding. Highly recommended to anyone who wants more than just a sightseeing experience. If you’re interested in understanding Japan beyond the usual tourist narrative, this is absolutely the tour to take. Thank you for such an insightful and memorable experience!

He hecho bastantes tours en muchos paises alrededor del mundo, y sin lugar a dudas este ha sido el mejor. La capacidad de plasmar la realidad del lugar mas alla de lo que se ve de costumbre es impresionante. Información real que no puedes encontrar en ningun sitio, lo que hace que el valor añadido de hacer este freetour sea increible. Nuestro guia Eric de 10.

Can’t understand why after doing free walks in numerous countries over the years no one leading a walk that we have been on is Japanese !

El tour merece mucho la pena, sobretodo por victoria la cual pone muchísimo énfasis en contar las curiosidades del zona. Nos gustó mucho porque además te enteras de como funciona el ocio nocturno en japon

Erik es un crak explicando las cosas, mucha informacion importante pero explicado de una manera genial y podías preguntarle cualquier cosa, de 10. 100% recomendable
Un tour muy entretenido y dinámico. Erika de Argentina muy actualizada, con buen ritmo para hablar y tono de voz, hizo el tour muy ameno. Todos los datos muy interesantes. Recomendado este tour para conocer la cara oculta de Tokio
