Mauricio was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about Tromso and it’s history. Highly recommended if you’re in Tromso for the day. He also provides tips on places to eat & drink. His insights into the Sami people were very interesting.

This walking tour in Tromsø is definitely worth it: try to do it, as you learn a lot and visit plenty of beautiful and iconic places, as well as a video about Norway at the end of the "excursion". The Guide was amazing, very professional and very well-informed. I truly loved it.

The tour was all good. The guide (can't remember his name) was good, although not originally local - he was from Argentina, his long term residency in Tromso can be seen with his local knowledge. The only thing which can be improved is a bit in the middle (before the end where a free show was shown in a gift shop), where I felt there was not much information shared about the main street. But overall, I would definitely recommend

Mauricio the guide, has an open and friendly energy and its easy to keep ones attention on him, the time flew and I felt I knew more about this beautiful city and its people by the end of it. I've done many free walking tours around the world, and Mauricio's tour in Tromsø was honestly one of the most enjoyable. Mauricio brings great energy, passion, and warmth to the experience. His storytelling is lively and engaging, and he shares not only historical facts but also interesting cultural insights, local customs, and everyday life in Norway, which makes the tour feel authentic and rich. He speaks clearly, keeps a very good pace for the group, and always makes sure everyone has arrived before he starts talking. Even in winter conditions, he was attentive and chose comfortable places to stop where we could listen without distraction. A very nice extra is that in many local shops you can get 10% off simply by mentioning his name, which shows the strong relationship he has with local businesses. Along the way, several people stopped to greet him, making it clear how well known and appreciated he is in the community. What appreciated most was how natural and personal the tour felt. It never felt scripted or commercial, just a genuinely enthusiastic guide sharing his knowledge and love for the place. Mauricio was very knowledgeable and quite entertaining. His passion for Tromso was very visible. He helped us understand the history and other details of the place. Only concern was that the group was very big! Hence, sometimes if was difficult to ask Qs or follow the commentary if you were at the back of the group.

Mauricio's love for Tromso is very evident in his story telling. He enjoys sharing stories and local recommendations. It was very cold outside, however he managed to get us inside few stores in between to make the tour bit comfortable. Definitely recommend this walking tour!
