My name is Hevi, I have lived here for 12 years, I know the city very well. I try to make the tour in a more fun way. I can only take you to the most typical and interesting places here.
Kuzguncuk is perhaps one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Istanbul. And it is also famous for being the neighborhood of Turkish novels (or rather, the neighborhood where many of the exteriors of Turkish series are filmed). It is a historic and residential neighborhood of cobbled streets and mansions. Also, like so many areas of Istanbul, it is a multi-religious neighborhood with mosques and synagogues. Its charming tree-lined streets attract numerous crews from Turkish novels and series to film outdoor scenes. It is known that Kuzguncuk was accepted as the "last stop before reaching the holy lands" by European Jews and those who could not go to the promised lands for whatever reason settled in Kuzguncuk and died and were buried there. About the tour; ⬇⬇⬇ We meet in Karaköy to catch the Üsküdar ferry. We will disembark after 20 minutes and from there we will walk towards Kuzguncuk along the coast for about 25 min. (You can take a public bus if someone prefers). The main thing is to walk its main street (Icadiye). Following this street, we will find lots of very picturesque shops and cafes where you want to sit down for a while and “watch the life of Istanbul go by”. It is also advisable to walk the cross streets and the surroundings of the most commercial area, there are many very colorful and picturesque wooden Ottoman houses. ✅ The community garden (Kuzguncuk Bostani) ✅ Fethi Ahmet Pasha Mansion ✅Cemil Molla Mansion ✅ Nakkaştepe Hill (where we have an incredible view of the Bosphorus) ✅Synagogue and Churches and more!
