Nostalgic Istanbul - Free walking tour Bosporus
Tour description
Kuzguncuk is perhaps one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Istanbul. And it is also famous for being the neighborhood of Turkish novels (or rather, the neighborhood where many of the exteriors of Turkish series are filmed). It is a historic and residential neighborhood of cobbled streets and mansions. Also, like so many areas of Istanbul, it is a multi-religious neighborhood with mosques and synagogues. Its charming tree-lined streets attract numerous crews from Turkish novels and series to film outdoor scenes. It is known that Kuzguncuk was accepted as the "last stop before reaching the holy lands" by European Jews and those who could not go to the promised lands for whatever reason settled in Kuzguncuk and died and were buried there.
