Hello, my name is Haktan. I am a licenced tour guide who is in love with Istanbul! I will take you to some amazing places and tell you their even more amazing stories! I studied in the USA and travelled to more than 30 countries joining the walking tours whenever I had a chance. I always dreamt of doing such tours in Istanbul and I got my tour guiding degree and started doing it 3 years ago. So far I've received great reviews and met a lot of amazing people. Looking forward to meeting you! Haktan

About the Tour

One of the most well-known  masterpieces by Architect Sinan, Suleymaniye represents the peak of Ottoman art and engineering.  Suleymaniye tour definitely requires a guide because there is a detail and an amazing story hidden in every corner of the complex. It's one of my favorite destinations to take my groups.

Grand Bazaar has been the heart of the commercial life of Istanbul for centuries. We are going to visit hidden caravanserais and inns that preserved their historical features. The maze-like streets of the bazaar is definitely a must-see for every visitor and with a local guide it won't be a simply visual experience but one with lots of interesting information and anecdotes...

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: I will be waiting under Column of Constantine (Çemberlitaş) and I will have my tour guide tag around my neck.

Haktan delivered a comfortable and relaxed tour, with plenty of time to ask questions. I found Haktan to be extremely knowledgeable and would recommend his tours to everyone.

Such an interesting tour!! Haktan pointed out all these fun facts about the “behind the scenes” of the bazaar that otherwise get lost in the chaos of the place. He’s a local who’s passionate about his city and his community. He introduced us to some really interesting people during the tour! His tour of Sulaymaniyah mosque is equally enriching and he makes sure to takes us the best spots to get the best pictures. I highly recommend this tour!!

It was absolutely wonderful experince! I would highly recommend it to everyone as it is including so many great qualities - professional knowledge of the Guru Haktan (with the wonderful English language), the site like Grand Bazaar (the one can see the real alive environment), some valuable tips for the stay in Istanbul as well as shopping, very well balanced walk and unexpected views of the city, visiting the Mosque, meeting new people. 3 hours flied like 30 minutes. Thank you so much! This experience was a reminder how much this world and we need real teachers who can enlighten our path and enrich our expereince of the city (in this case). Thank you once again. PS Thank you for the apple tea =)
