Archaeological Free Tour: Caliphate Baths of Córdoba
Tour description
The caliph baths are an archaeological jewel of the city of Córdoba. The former Alcazar or residence of the Caliph included in its enclosure these private bathrooms, for the exclusive use of the Caliph and his guests. This free tour shows you these royal baths, a symbol of Umayyad palatial architecture, from an archaeological perspective. We will recreate how each one of the rooms was, we will talk about the ritual of the bath and its reflection in the material remains and we will indicate the areas of greatest interest and many of the original preserved elements that go unnoticed. The visit on this free tour usually takes 40 to 50 minutes, with the possibility of adapting to the needs of the group. The entrance to the Caliphate Baths of Córdoba has a cost of € 3 per person (€ 1.50 reduction for students and retirees). Children and over 65 free admission. * check prices for more accuracy.
