In Budapest Tours we are a group of professional and accredited guides, with degrees in Art History, Geography and History; and with extensive experience in the sector and a passion in common: Budapest. We work with professionalism, honesty and transparency to show the best that this imperial city offers from a critical point of view, beyond a simple photo. With us you not only have a guide but a host, a helping hand, someone who can show you this city with the love it deserves. We think in yellow and that implies that we are guides of the 21st century. That is why we like to establish a relationship of closeness and trust between travelers and guides. This is achieved by respecting the traveler, and for him we believe that having small groups is the most sincere way of transmitting knowledge and feelings so that your trip is filled with experiences and anecdotes to tell you when you return home. Our aim is that you live Budapest with the same love that we live it every day.
Welcome to Budapest!
Like any newcomer to the city, we all have the same question: where would I start my visit?
We will help you discover Budapest in a completely different way and following two main lines:
On the one hand, we will make a historical approach from the origins of Hungary untill its peak as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, visiting the main monuments of the Imperial Pest:
1. Budapest Parliament.
2. Chain Bridge.
3. Liberty Square.
4. St. Stephen's Basilica.
5. Andrássy Avenue.
6. Szechenyi Square.
7.Statue of Sisi.
Second of all , we will focus on the communist stage and the Second World War. In this second part of the tour we will visit:
1.Memorial of the 1956 Revolution.
2.Monument to "The Soviet Heroes who liberated the city from Nazism".
3.Secret nuclear bunker.
4. Monument to the Victims of the Second World War.
All this from the critical perspective, explaining the controversy behind the monument, as each generation of the country was thaught by different political regimes.
