Hello! My name is Alfonso and I am a recent graduate in Art History from the Autonomous University of Madrid. My vocation for historical-artistic heritage has always led me to create small groups of family and friends with whom to share and enjoy the secrets of Art and Architecture. My explanations are usually dynamic and very inclusive, so I will surely ask questions with the aim of involving the group and promote the collective interest.

Tour description

The objective of this tour will be the creation of a constructive and urban discourse that begins with the only teaching construction of Islam in Granada, the Madrasa, and also understanding how the arrival of the Catholic kings in the fifteenth century will shape a new constructive form that will condition the most visited space next to the Alhambra and the Albaicín: the section that connects from Gran Vía the Madraza, the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral.

The royal court sought to exercise an architectural implementation process in line with a Christian and imperial city whose underlying language really continued to reveal an Islamic past.
