Hi, glad to meet you, my name is Alfredo R. . I am from Lima city, I live there and I work as a Licensed Tour Guide by the peruvian Ministry of Tourism (initials in spanish MINCETUR) for over 16 years. I am a Transfer Person, Tour Conductor and Tour Leader as well. Finishing my studies in a local institute, I worked as Tour Guide in Lima city when I received some offers for working as Guide, Transfer Person and Tour Conductor out from my city: Puno, Cusco cities and Bolivia (Southern highlands) and after Chiclayo, Trujillo, Chachapoyas, Cajamarca and Piura cities (Northern coast and highlands). Thanks to my experience, sometimes I am a Tour Advisor making tour programs and I can guide in different places talking about many themes. Hope to meet you in Lima!

About the Tour

We will walk through the old buildings of Barranco, the old beach city of Lima in past centuries.

On the route, we see 2 Mansions: Osma Museum one of the best places to watch viceroyal art and Mario Testino Museum of that very famous peruvian photographer.

Getting the Barranco cliffs, we watch a place where happened the Battle of San Juan beetwen the Peruvian and Chilean Armies, when the latter invaded Lima.

When you reach the main square of Barranco, you can look around the buildings, the old mansions of the former Lima high society. The Municipality and Cathedral of Barranco are there.

There is a tram in the area, one of the last ones that Lima has until today. We have a good view of Barranco in front of the sea and we walk along a street where you can see artistic graffiti. In the same way we go to the beach to see the location of Lima, a huge cliff in front of the sea.

When we get back we go upstairs and take a 10 minute break at a local restaurant for a drink. Continuing our route, we will reach the Bridge of Sighs, one of the most romantic places of Lima, the old meeting point for lovers in the afternoons and evenings. When we go up we have a panoramic view of the neighborhood. We walk a few meters to see the largest group of Barranco graffiti.

With a local bus we go to Miraflores, one of the most modern areas of Peru, very famous for the Larcomar Shopping Center, an excellent balcony to watch the ocean.

Finally, Love Park is one of the most famous parks in the country, very famous for its sculpture known as The Kiss by local artist Victor Delfin.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: Located on Metropolitano Bus Lane, Boulevard Bus Station - Barranco

Excelente servicio! Alfredo conoce muy bien la historia y cada detalle de la ciudad de Lima. Pudimos conocer y aprender secretos de la ciudad que explican la particularidad de cada distrito que pudimos visitar. Muy recomendado!
